My buds are getting thicker and the whole plant is getting heavier. I LSTd both these girls and have several main stalks on each, but they're not as thick as the main knot. I also see them spreading from the middle outwards....

Ive been using potassium silicate to help strengthen her up and she has been trained pretty well. Should i tie the stalks together for support? I would probably cry if one of my big stalks snapped, there is bud all along these babies haha i have plenty of electrical wire to work with ...thanks guys

I think you going to be ok, with that said you can always have a bamboo stick or too handy should the buds get giant and start to stress out the branch.

Those buds are going to add a bunch of weight over the next few weeks and those branches will be hard pressed to hold it all. I wouldn't even take a chance. Get some stakes, wire, rope, whatever and bind those bitches.

Grab yourself some of the plastic strap type stuff ( so it won't dig into the branches like string) and some bamboo stakes from hardware store or nursery for tying like that.
Better to do early and be safe than sorry. :)

They look pretty strong to me, but why chance it? When in doubt, tie her up.

BTW if anything ever breaks, it usually heals. I have a plant that was completely snapped in half and was left that way for at least 5 days. I tied it back up and it survived, but severly stunted. Moral of the story is that if one of those branches breaks, you can repair it or even just let it hang as long as it isn't a complete break.

Its not mites guaranteed...i check my plants daily and hit em with pyrethrins or neem oil weekly....i dont even see where you're talking about, except maybe the developing trichomes on the close up of a bud site...and i use protekt

I learned that the hard way when my dog snapped the upper right half of my girl in half. I cloned the broken branches and she bounced back double time.. she's bigger than the unharmed one now lol crazy

Yeah. I would tie them up. i have some plants of similar size and I have some of them wrapped in trellis netting in one way or another. Just get some support on them so the buds can fatten up and the plant doesn't have to focus so much on the stem strength

Here's something that has always worked well for me: visit your local tire store and get an old semi truck inner tube(they give them away), split it along the seam and then cut strips from it to bind the places where you first topped the plant. Its rubber, so it stretches with growth, and strong enough to hold the branches together.

Yea its perlite and i put about an inch thick layer as a mulch as its been shown to prevent soil erosion/compaction and to keep moisture in during the hot summer months.. its white also so im thinking it reflects light up, not something i know for sure tho...i used to use lava rocks bc it looked cool but it was too heavy
