If you want to keep it cheap. Everyone says the space blankets are 5 bucks.
The local dollar stores in my area sell paint in pint cans for $1. $6 a gallon.
and they have flat white.

Check around for some cheap ass paint. Brand name dont matter just make sure its flat white paint.

foil is bad. there are no two ways about it. mylar is only expensive when you want to do whole rooms with it, and painting is soo much easier on that scale. if you are using a small CFL grow, you are going to be in a small space, so just use mylar anyway?

i have tried many different methods of trying to skimp out of buying expensive things, and most of the time i end up spending money on junk that doesn't work, then going back to the original thing anyway. so use tried and true methods. best way :)

Amen to that brotha. Once made a CFL reflector out of cardboard and foil needless to say 2 days later I went out and purchased an actual bowl style reflector.

I did find a few grow on some other forums where they used chrome vinyl film to grow with. I mentioned it in another post. I get mine for $40 for a 24" X 10Yd roll. I have a roll that was bad. Can use it to cut but can use it to grow with. When I start my next grow I am gong to give it a try and see how well it works. Has same properties as mylar so maybe I wont have to buy and. plus I can clean it when needed.
