the bxeb only requre the 1,5mm sheet as there not hot at 700ma, but my suppliers wont reply,
another guy came up with a 3mm plate, means it weight is more but same price,
1200x600x3mm is 4.9kg
1200x600x1.5mm is 3.9kg

same price both, my current hps coolshade weight is 40kgs haha so.. do i go 3mm or 1.5,
3mm cools more efficiently ofc too, do i need 3mm really will it be better ?

First something is wrong with your weights. Double check the dimensions of each plate. The 3mm plate should be double the weight of the 1.5.

Secondly if they are the same price and the added weight isn't straining anything then go for the thicker plate. It won't help cool much better at nominal currents but in cases where a heat source gets hot enough to create differential temperatures in the aluminum then a thicker plate helps. Also will be more rigid which is nicer to work with for me. Feels quality like instead of floppy.

hha yeah google gave me weights , on a metal site for sheet metal, did seem weird but i went with it,
yeah im used to hanging 2x 40kg lights up so that cant be close lol il go 3mm then

its 2.93kg and 5.85kg3mm,

so total wil be max 20kg with strips n driver
