alternative to butane?

i've always always used lighters with butane and I really want to stop. i only want to use bic's if absolutely necessary.

anyways, what are cheap alternatives to butane lighters? i've heard of using a candle wick but I don't think that would be very realistic.

you could get illadelph heat wands you just heat them up and press them to the herb or theres this thing called a herb iron its like a soldering iron..

get refillables and only refill them with QUALITY butane. i use Vector. they make some really cool lighters these days. which remionds me, i need a new one.

Never used one myself.
Ive always heard of people using them and suposivly you get a whole new taste of the bud.
