I heard from a friend that alternating nodes are a sign of being a male, but I didnt know how accurate this was. My last outdoor plant had alternating nodes and started growing ball sacks early, real early. My question is: are alternating nodes really a sign of a male? I had an indoor plant in an aerogarden with 8 huge octopus arms, and it had many alternating nodes and came up male. It sucks, 2 males this season, no females yet
