Ok, I was hoping I could get some advice/suggestions on the nutes I have/dont have. I know opinions will vary but Id love to see what everybody thinks. Lil seedlings just started in veg tent in a megagarden, then to the flower tent DWC/coco coir. If you recommend not using something I already have, or can tell me other nutes I should aquire plz let me know! Thanks in advance!!:)

Heres what we got so far, its not much but its a start:)

GH Flora Nova Grow
GH Flora Nova Bloom
GH Liquid KoolBloom Bulking Formula
Humbolt Countys Own Bush Master
GH Rapid Start Rooting Enhancer

Main reason Im asking is bc we are going to the hydro store tomorrow and thought I could get some suggestions on what Im lacking. For sure getting some CalMag....maybe Bud Candy??? Whatcha think?

It looks to me like you are fine on nutes. Not quite sure what else you would think you need. I personally am going with FoxFarm Grow Big, Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom. But like i said, I think you are all set.

I never understood those sweetners.. if u have good genetics and u dry it properly then u shouldnt have a problem with taste

I am also using Flora Nova Grow and Bloom. I start using 1/4 strength beginning on day 30 in veg and then move up slowly. Once you flower, remember to use veg and flower nutes in the very beginning. During flower, I am also adding molasses and Hydroplex Bloom. I am growing in soil and "making it rain" (RiddleMe) too.

I would suggest you give some molasses a try too...as my plants seem to like it pretty much. I have FF Big Bloom, Jacks Classic and a basic Schultz plant food - nothing too pricey, and its been getting the job done.

Thaks MtGirl, I was just telling my husband we had to try the molasses! Doing DWC, what is this "making it rain? Have heard of it, but never read into it.

Hi there. Here is the link to riddleme's thread. https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/316301-calling-all-noob-growers.html He also talks about nutes and molasses too. Read the first post by him (which is a a bit long) and you will get the jist of it. He is a extremely level headed guy and really knows his shit! He grows in dirt and doesn't do anything fancy like lst or anything. The guy has been growing longer than I have been alive...LOL

Molasses doesn't really work to well in hydro unless it is a certain kind. Not sure what kind but it's not just your regular molasses. I think people that are giving you advice don't understand you're not doing soil, but are doing hydro.

Don't worry about the "make it rain". That's only for soil. If you're doing dwc the flora nova series is really good. I'm using them also but adding some floralicious.

Well thanks guys for all your advice on the nutes. Just got back from the almost 2 hr drive to the hydro strore. Put a pretty big dent in my pocket lol, man this stuff is getting expensive! Anyways, picked up a couple more intake and exhaust fans, so all 3 tents should now be VERY well ventilated.

Also picked up a Milwalkee sharp Ph 51 tester and a Milwalkee T76 TDS tester, anyone have any experience with these brands??

And added a few more nutes to list as well: Flora Blend, Flora Shield, Floralicious, & Botanicare Cal Mag (forgot to get the 29%h2o2)
O well, I think we are good to go for a little while anyways, hell I hope so!!!:)

u dont need those in hydro... whatever nutes u use + 29% h2o2 to maintain a clean sterile rez + maybe a bulking agent... thats all.. i wouldnt do mollasses or anything with bacteria for flower... i dont wanna deal with problems with buildup

i couldnt agree more...sunnyd spits knowledge....stay away from all bacteria in hydro...its not worth the risk....ive been there, done that, and its a ufcking mess....stick with rocking a sterile rezzy with the h2o2 and u will have no problems...smooth sailing all the way to chop..and DEF no molasses in the rez......u will have a breeding ground for nasty, not good bacteria...and the less nutrients/additives u use, the easier it will be for u in the long run....complicated nute mixes are unneccesarry and whack, imo...way more to forget or mess up with....just my opinion
