Alphakronik's White Diamonds

you know one of these days your going to have to drag them out of the tent and give us some natural light photos. i want to see those babies in there full glory.

looking bloody good though kentucky

oh yeah and I'm keen as for some anything you want to tell me about your og18. i was just flicking through your old journal today.

it just so happens i popped my free og18 a few days ago. I'm kind of regretting it though. i hate s1's they always lack vigour and yield poorly. i really hope the smoke makes up for it

I will try to pull them out sometime soon and snap a few pics. It's a pain in the ass to drag them around. They are pretty big plants. The OG#18 is my favorite strain that I have grown so far. It is a super hard hitting strain. The kind that just explodes in your lungs and makes you cough your head off. Extremely potent shit man! Very stinky too! It has a chemmy or fuely taste and smell to it with some skunky undertones. It is kind of sweet n sour tasting too. The yield was horrible for me, and I only got a little over an ounce off of it. Compared to my Ak-47 that was growing the exact same amount of time which I got almost 4 ozs. off of. It also hemied on me too, but I was subjecting it to very high temps over the summer when we had a 100 degree heat wave for what seemed like forever. I got about 20 seeds out of, but actually I am happy that it happened. Now I have plenty OG#18 genetics. The structure of my plant was great. I should have vegged it a bit longer. I am sure that would have improved the yield some. All in all I would recommend this strain to anyone wanting a strain that will knock you on your ass! I am definitely going to grow it again.

thanks for the reply mate. i guess i chose the wrong time to pop my og18 then considering we are about to come into the australian summer and by all reports we are in for a stinker. probably going to be the hottest summer we have had for yrs. considering we are about a month into spring and the temps are already up to 30c outside (about 90f) its going to be a burner here for sure. to bad i can't take the plants down the beach with me to cool off lol

The OG#18 is definitely one of the stinkier plants that I have grown. I was really impressed with the quality of this strain. It is the type of weed that I had always envisioned myself growing over the years, but I could not aquire the genetics. I was far to paranoid to buy seeds off of the internet in the past, and honestly I didn't even know that you could buy them on there to begin with. I ended up buying my 1st seeds from Attitude about a year ago now. So far the OG#18 has been my favorite strain that I have grown, but Barney's Farm Pineapple Chunk and Greenhouse Seeds Super Lemon Haze were very good as well. All 3 strains were definitely top shelf smoke. Serious Seeds Ak-47 was the best yielding plant that I have grown so far with a total yield of close to 4 ozs. I average about 2 ozs a plant, so I was happy with 4. The smoke wasn't nearly as potent as I was expecting. If I was selling my weed, then the OG#18, Pineapple Chunk, SLH would all go for $60 an 1/8th. The Ak-47 was go for about $40-$50 an 1/8th. There was quite a bit a difference in potentcy between these strains. I also grew a White Label White Widow that was worth about $40 an 1/8th too. Last but not least was the Barney's Farm Blue Cheese. It was a feminized seed that looked like a full blown male when flipped to 12/12. I will give this strain another try just because there is a good chance that it hermied due to the high temps. Oh yeah, I also tried my hand with Delicious Seeds Autoflowering LA Diva. Needless to say that it was the lowest quality plant that I have grown so far from any breeder. Although I still believe that Auto's have there place in people's gardens. It is quite amazing how fast these things can finish. Plus if you have space requirements then there are auto's out there for you. I do think that there is a trade off in quality though. I've only grown the one, so my experience is limited, but from what I have gathered that is the case. It won't be much longer, and I will be able to to add White Diamonds to this list. I don't think that my list is half bad for my first whole year of growing. I do wish that I had a friend that was growing to help go through all these genetics to find the top shelf quality strains faster. Because it seems to be "hit and miss" with all of these different strains that I have seeds of. It is still fun for me either way.

your doing pretty well with that list mate. I'm actually just coming up on a year of growing myself. my list so far is as follows.

barneys farm vanilla kush. grown this twice now. heavy heavy yielder. 600g m2 is not an exaggeration if scrogged well. really unique smell. the high is quite strong although not my cup of tea. its a bit couch lock for my liking. not the frostiest strain though.

barneys laughing buddha. wow. thats all i have to say.think colas as long as your forearm with a central top cola bigger than your head. so frosty the buds look white. huge calyxes. buds are pretty airy though so overall weight was actually less than the vk. smell was amazing just super sweet fruity flavours. high was great really active happy high. my mates couldn't get enough of this one. me either. one of my favourites so far

barneys morning glory. i had mixed results with this. i had a little root rot so it could just be my skills letting me down but yield was terrible flavour was like watered down laughing buddha. buds were airy but extremely frosty. people liked the high but it was a little stonier than i was expecting. i won't grow it again simply because i could grow laughing buddha instead and be much happier

dutch delight by flying dutchman. another let down. buds were nowhere near the size or density i was expecting from this plant. smell was spicy maybe even a little skunky just all around lack lustre.

sun maiden by gage green genetics. this is my number one. best looking plant to grow. great structure, yield wasn't really big but the frost, my god it was ridiculous, think frost to the tips of fan leaves and thick trichs on trichs action. she showed some really cool purpling in the cold and the buds were medium density with great bag appeal. smell was really strong. lemon chem fuel and the high is that perfect balance of a really nice up high to start that mellows into a relaxing body stone. you can keep the high up if you just keep on smoking but be warned you will keep on getting higher and higher and higher and if you do stop smoking you will probably end up taking a nap lol

lastly now I'm growing buddha tahoe og by cali con. its nearly finished.complete waste of time i will be lucky to get an ounce the yield is that bad. buds are nice looking and very frosty smell is nice and I'm quite sure its going to be great smoke but the yield just let me down

You have a nice list as well. That Buddah Tahoe OG sounds just like my OG#18 as far as yield and quality go. I have always heard that OG's are shitty yielders. I don't know how much truth is actually in that though. I have been interested in GGG for a while now, but they only offer regular seeds, and I try to use feminized as much as possible. I don't have much room and have to keep my plant count low, so I have come to rely on feminized seeds. There Grape Stomper looks awesome, but so does the rest of there strains. I have seen some great journals on the Grape Stomper here on RIU. They really make me want to give that strain a go. Anyways i dragged the smaller plant out of my closet and snapped a couple pics. When i was pulling it out, I realized that the smell is more prevelant than I had originally realized. It just doesn't have a distinct smell that I can put my finger on. Whatever it is, I like!

yeah feminised seeds are convenient but i fell its kind of like the autos the fems just don't quite compare to reg's I have been working through my fems but have heaps of good reg's to break into. I'm thinking of building a new system that can handle up to 9 plants at a time to do a small run and search for mums

So far I have used both regular and feminized seeds, and I have had great and bad luck with both. Lol! If I wasn't worried about having a bunch of plants, I would probably use just regular seeds too.

So I picked a small bud off of the better looking plant, and I let it dry out until yesterday. It was completely dried out and ready to smoke. The bud was completely covered in trichs and was pretty dense to still have at least 21 days left before harvest. It looked really good when I was checking it out. Then I started to smell it, but it still had that kind of green or premature smell to it. If I rubbed my fingers on the bud and then smelled my fingers the vanilla aroma was there in force. I decided to cut the bud up and when I did there was this beautful strong and funky smell to it. I was overzealous by the smell when the outside smelled so green and premature. While I was cutting it up I really noticed how triched up this bud actually was. It was so damn sticky and there was resin dust all over the place from where I had been cutting up the weed. I rolled it into a nice size joint, and I proceded to smoke that bitch! Lol! To my surprise it tasted quite good! It had a vanilla fuel taste to it. It was a quite smooth smoke but it tasted excellent. This strain could quickly end up being one of my favorites. I know that this was just a weak representation of what it will be like when it is finished, but at least I know somewhat as to what I can expect when it is finished. I really did enjoy the smoke. I want some more, and I don't feel like waiting. Lol! But I have to.

how was the high more ativa type high or indica. i know its only early but just curious. thinking about getting some alphacronik gear soon. alpha dawn looks bloody nice and its in stock over at cannazon

I would say a little bit of both, so I would say like a good hybrid.

They are looking pretty good. Not much has changed really as far as smell or anything. The pistils are changing colors from white to orange and brown. The shorter pheno looks to finish a little earlier than the taller pheno. They both look excellent, but I like the smaller one myself. The breeder recommends harvesting between days 60-70, and I think that will pretty much be spot on. I plan on harvesting the smaller pheno around November 1st and after it is finished drying and put into jars I will harvest the taller pheno. That should give it enough time to finish up. If they need more time though, I will give it to them. It is pointless to harvest early, after you have spent so much time to get this far. Anyways here are some pics that I just took. Enjoy! Oh, I have been having alot of yellowing leaves that end up dropping off too. I have been feeding with Botanicare Cal/Mag and Bloom nutes. I put 1 tsp of each in a gallon of water when I feed.
