That 1st mammoth looks really beastly. Is it true you're not supposed to top auto's?

I hear good and bad things about auto's, looking forward to your harvest and smoke report. Thinking about running some auto's or a 12/12 from seed SOG sometime just for the experience.

Looking great man. Peace

Thanks, yes i'v heard that topping auto's is a no no just stick with LSTing and that should be enough. As for a later SOG method go with 12/12 from seed i seen another thread with someone asking the same question and everyone told him to go with 12/12 from seed instead of auto's. Anyways meant to ask how hempy was treating you? Something i was looking into.

I really cannot say enough good things about hempy's. The easy to find and inexpensive materials is just a bonus compared to the ease of use and results. And you can really maximize container size and grow a larger plant with a smaller root base. I have been thinking about containers for my next grow and right now I am looking into 3-5 gallon totes and running a 2 plant scrog.

There are alot of different mediums you can use for hempy. I have only tried str8 perlite and have had great results. Other people use perlite/vermiculite combo or a coco base. A couple new mediums being used are PBRH (par-boiled rice hulls) and mapito. Both are said to hold water better than perlite, with mapito becoming the new favored medium in Holland from what I hear. I will stick with perlite probably, because of my familiarity with it and the ease of obtaining it.

People complain that hempy's are messy but with enough planning they are really not bad. The only mess I have is runoff when I water. A small scale grow like yours and mine should have no issue with watering in a catch pan. I water every 2-3 days and could go longer but I don't leave my rez filled to the brim. You basically can tell when it's time to water by the pot weight.

Let me know if you want anymore info on hempy. I would love to see you run a hempy sCROG with your 150. I bet you could get that light 2-3 inches from the canopy with some good cross-breeze.

Iv read enough info were i wanna give it a shot so for sure if i have more questions ill let you know.

Blue Mammoth Auto - Update - Day #56/Flower Day #29
Was planning on flushing the girls with plain water but then my suspected calcium deficiency looked worse so i decided to give them a low dose of Cal-Mag to see if it helps, also gave them there first dose of Cha Ching which there going to be receiving for the rest of flower. Temps inside the tent have been a steady 78-80f, outside weather has chilled out so no heat problems.

Growing Medium
Sunshine Soil-less Mix 4

Nutes
5ml Botanicare Cal-Mag

¼tsp Fox Farm Cha Ching

Watered yesterday with there 2nd dose of cal-mag, one more watering then ill be adding in the rest of the flower nutes as normal with the addition of the cal-mag. But other then that the nugs look frosty and are pretty tight to the touch so i cant wait till harvest :)

Update, sorry for anyone that was following this grow i had a change of plans and decided to harvest early and start a fresh grow. The yield does not matter at this point just cutting them to get them out of my tent. I will be starting a new journal soon as my seeds germinate, genetics will be Super Sour OG (fem) from Emerald Triangle Seeds and i will be growing in a 2.5 gallon hempy bucket for my first time in a 3:1 ration perlite/vermiculite. :leaf:
