ya thats got to be a wikid adrenialin rush . ya i agree i dont know if i could stick my hand down in a hole in something i cant see turttles are no joke i do some turtle traping in the summer they make a tasty soup . but i guess i would rather a turttle then a croc lol.
Yeah, a turtle will just take some fingers off, a croc will start rolling and take your whole arm off.....if you're lucky! If you're unlucky....you're drowned.

were i am i dont have 2 worry about crocs, turtles sometimes , the real threat is a beaver taking a hole hand, i have been luckey so far but i've seen a guy get bit, it got him in the chest. nothing like haveing a 35lb cat on your arm in 6ft water its only u and the fish in a fight.

my granpa used to catch snapping turtles and sell the meat. well, when i say catch i mean set a hook w/ a chunk of stinking liver and tie it toa stick in the bank. but anyway..., he's passed away now, but i got some pretty wild memories from some of those big snappers. i'd describe the size of one of em....but it's really unfathomable unless u seen it w/ ur own eyes, but here's a good little visualization: had an uncle who was approx 6'1 350+ lbs, grandpa had a picture he liked to show of that uncle standing on the back of one of the snapping turtles he'd caught, the turtle was standing!! anyway.. thot i'd share that. peace

Man, I hate being located in a city away from saltwater. Sorry guys, I've done both (fresh and saltwater fishing) and catching fish that are 1-10lbs just doesn't cut it for me. I can't wait for spring break, shark fishing, kingfish running, amberjacks off structure, grouper, sailfish, tuna, barracuda, cant wait:-P
