The Too Much Closet Space Creep
by Skizofrenik and Buddy Jesus

Thanks to everyone who contributes to these forums...we went into this not knowing what the **** to do. I think we did alright for a couple of newbies.

First off...here we are at closet number one. Painting not yet done, mold work not yet finished to finally concealed, and the closet hanging rod needs to be re-installed.

...Peek-a-Boo!! Industrial strength magnets, and a cupboard magnetic popping lock keeps the door shut and tight, but still allows an opening.

A T5 2 Foot Flourescent light, puttin out 21,000 lumens...accompanied by 4 more bulbs kickin' in 1,600 a piece. Not too bad for a mother/veg room, right? Also a 6" inline duct fan pulling in fresh air at 250 cfm. The big light is on adjustable hangers for convenience. Insulated foam on all the walls and door...a lil mylar in there too. Sound is an issue...the main issue at this point!!! I'm considering getting controllers for the fans to slow them down a bit and lower the volume, some insulation around the fans to minimize vibration....any other pointers? Will adding more layers on the doors insulation do anything to the heat...?

Here's the top of the room. Another 6" inline duct fan pushing out hot air, another oscillating fan...pretty straight forward.

And here's the "door" to closet #2. They're both connected, just seperated by reflective insulation board. This door as of now is the only piece partially painted...eventually the entire interior of the closet will be this dark blue (looks a lot lighter due to flash).

And once the door is opened...600W, air-cooled high pressure sodium sun-light. Another 6" inline duct fan, 250 cfm, venting out the room with a can-air carbon filter, 26" length 12" diameter with a total carbon weight of 31lbs. I'm hopeful this will take care of my odor problem?

Well that's about it for now...I'm going to make a lil post about the growth of my lil guys...

Until then...

CIAO!!!

Thanks a lot greenday! :weed: Yea like i said we did a lot of planing before we actually decided to go and and build the rooms. So grab a seat and come along for what should hopefully be a great ride. by the way i'm thinking of putting them into flower tomorrow like i said this is a first time for us so i'm not sure how long were supposed to wait =/

you can put them into flower when ever you want... it all depends on what you want

you can keep em in veg for a year

or start them in flower from seed

most people work with how much room they have got, because a plant generally doubles in size from the beginning to end of flower

so say you had 5 feet of verical grow space to work with

you could safely veg a plant to 2 feet tall or shorter without worrying about space

others just wait untill they see preflowers, because that way you know your plant has reached full maturity and will produce the biggest best buds it possibly can

naturally the longer you veg your plant the bigger/better yields and smoke you will get

if its just your first run and you wanna get your feet wet a lil go ahead and switch em to flower and experiment with your bloom nutes and what not

but you could wait if you wanted too, thats what im saying

yea thats sweet i think i will put them into flower i have like 30 more that are vegin out right now also so i'll through these 8 into flower tomorrow. What are good nutes to use for flower... i really haven't givin them anything for veg besides some root stimulater in the begging... but i used fox farm ocean soil and i think that has enough of what i needed for the veg period.

ohh and another thing that i was wondering is what is a good temp to keep for flowering? and i'll post pics of the babies tomorrow i'm to tired to do it right now

if you can keep it anywhere between like 70-80 85 degrees tops, your golden

if you using fox farms soil, might as well go with there bloom ferts as well

the three main nutrients are grow big, tiger bloom, and big bloom, those are liquid and you just mix it in with your water

then if you wanted to go all out they have soulubal crystal nutes for flowering that are like "steroids" you really dont need em, but you can use them and really see a difference in your yields

those are open seasame, beasite bloomz, and cha-ching

those ones are crazy they have like 0-50-45 npk ratio.... very potent stuff

go to your local hydro store, or order online, but the guys at the hydro store will help you out alot if you have any questions

haha thanks!! Gotta love the BuddyJesus:bigjoint: i actually got the room to stay at 80 degrees with the light running =) which is a huge plus considering that before we changed some shit around it was at 90-92 degrees! We're thinking of getting some sorta exhaust fan that will work with our canfilter... we only had an inline booster fan thought it would work out, but it didn't. Barley exhausted out the room. Any ideas or suggestions on which to get.. its a 6" inlet. i'll post new pics of all the new work we did today, and of the plants tomorrow.

~cheers~

finally solved our venting and cooling problem!!! went out and got a Vortex CFN-600 High Power 449 CFM 6 inch Inline Fan... which is working fucking awesome!! new pics will be added tomorrow once lights turn on.. also started the 3 part formula from foxfarm. also i had a question about lowering Ph.. whats the best way to go abouts doing that. ph in soil is kinda high at the moment.

grow big is a natural ph down so see what the soils ph is after a few feedings with that... if still no avail go buy some ph down, or use some vinegar, or is it baking soda? lol i forget
