but this doesnt mean i am going to stop posting on your thread. two minds are better than one,....and too bad we arent neighbors. then we would have things really F'D up!

Hey E. what kind of width do you get out of your roots in the net cups you use? and do you know a good estimate of how long? i know they pool up in the bottom and all but about how long would you say they get?

well, i just finished croppin a few days ago and managed to pull one root set out to find out!
the one longest wuz 34" and i know some broke off too...
I'm forever pullin the roots back outa the main drin line,
but only from the plants just over it...

Hope that's what ya wanted to know...


So, here be some updated pics of the systems for ya, took them this morn...

These clones are Romulan x SSH and going into the empty 12h table tonight.....







These girls are 4 weeks old, Gremlin...

hey epix sence your the KING of aero cloners and such, can you think of a way i could transfer rooted clones into Rockwool blocks the big ones?

i have herd that you can remove the outer bag, cut the cube in half, wet it, put the clone in the centre, put them together and ether use the old outer wrapper or tie it shut.....

Have never tryed it myself, but herd from a few friends that it works.....

All tho... i do sugest you do something like that before the roots get too long.......

i cant hang out with rockwool either. just a pain to deal with IMO. rocks are a mess too but better than wool. soon to be done with all of it!

I found RW starter plug that are already split i think i'll plug the clones in once they have 1/2 to 1 inch of root coming out then to a prop. tray.....?

That what i would do, make sure you keep the rockwool cubes close for a week or so tho, that way they will hold each other up, and they don't need much light anyhow till veg time....

should be getting my pump in today and then can get the 1st tub going. i had a ton of inserts but now that i need 240 of them i had to go and order some. should be ready for the next in 2 weeks, and then again and again. then the whole setup will be solid. planning on going over to digital greenhouse ballasts and running 2 1000w HPS. going to convert to the cool tubes as well.

So i guess I am starting pretty much the same system as you. I noticed you said you didnt use a rooting gel, are you running strait water or using clearex?

Another, how long after the roots are strong do you pull them from the cloner to vegi?

Good day man, good choise! lol...

I soak my fresh cut clones in a water & horomone mix for 1 hour, then straight into Just Water ph'd at 6.0...
After i start to see little white nubbs on all the stems,
i add a Very small amount of Growzyme,
and i mean like 1 teaspoon to 30l water!

2nd Q.... That all depends on how big you want them...
At leaste wait till the roots are good and strong,
the more length the better the eating coverage..

as a note, i noticed with my setup, 2 weeks in cloner then to veg..
When veg'd 2 week, the end plants were like 3' tall..
when veg for 1 week, the wound up 2-3' high....

So i started just doing 2 weeks Cloner, then straight into Flower...
Now the plants end just under 2', wich is what i want for a SOG...

yup yup it did. Thanks, should be gettin my clones this weekend so we'll see how it goes.

awesome! hope your grow goes good. it is actually pretty simple since alot of other factors are eliminated.(veg cycle, growing medium Etc.) I am ecited to see how you fare in your ventures. please do post a journal and show us what you have accomplished.

I love it... everytime I see an update it makes it soo much better the room is basically done... things just go slow at 1st with a low budget. What are you using for lighting in your flowering room again?

I got 2-600w hps over the 2 big tables, 1 each, and a 400w hps over the small table...
I use nothing but T5's over the Mom's and clones...

very nice! i got the 1st tub in on mine, got 2nd and 3rd fab'd and the the 4th about 75% done. will be adding tub 2 in 1 week. they are all a bit different with hole design but the last one i think is the best. 90 holes in it and tube runs right down the middle with 4 sprayers and a mister. the mister is where its at i think. the sprayers just keep it moving around. only time will tell. will get some pics up in next few days.

sorry if I missed it in the 18 pages but do you use any solution or just plane h2o ? Also, do you use a rooting hormone?

I'm about to build one of these and wanna know everything I need to get..

Lol, no prob...

I soak fresh cut clones in a rooting horomone mix for 1 hour,
Then into the cloner with just Water,
after 4 days i add a Little bit of growzyme just to help them roots along!

You don't need nothing but water, altho the rooting horomone is encoraged to speed things up.....

for flowering, i use Holland Secret, but you can get and use any good Hydro fert mix...
