Been on numerous sights just want some straight forward answers.

Ok I plan to grow in my walk in closet. ONLY 1-2 plants.

What kind of lights would work best? And what sort of wattage? Im trying to keep it as simple as possible and I dont have all kinds of money to buy high quality lights.

P.S. Im getting them as teens. (if that makes a difference which it seems like it does)

decide on soil or hydro

Then pick a light, build or buy it.

hang the lights from rope or chain from above so you can move them easily.

if it really needs to be simple/ cheap: clamp lamps and cfl's are available for cheap at home depot... soil is cheaper than hydro... seeds are cheap but you pay what you pay for them... you could convert a closet into a two plant thing for about 50$... as you learn more, you can change your setup... good luck...

Yea, I would go with a CFL light as well. In such a small space it will keep your heat down which is def a good thing. As far as the setup, it depends on what you want. You could build an aeroponic system for cheap, you could build an ebb and flow system, or you could just do pots with soil or coco (that is what I would do if I were you).

I have been really pleased with my drip hydro setup for just 2 plants. Check out my grow thread in my sig for pics and info. I just started construction on a small veg cabinet and intend to build another, similar drip setup. And I will be building a table for a flood tray over my res to accomodate 3 plants, but thats as big as Im going. I started off with T5 lights and was pretty happy with them, that is until I saw what a HID light could do. Now I use a 1000w dual arc bulb(600w HPS, 400w MH in one bulb)and could veg and flower with the same light if I wanted.
