Sorry for the newb question but why is that a magic number?

I actually have 0.67m^2 (2/3 m^2) of floor space and got 314 grams so 314 / 2 * 3 would equal 471 per m^2
Well that answers it. For you people who deal in kilos, 448g=1lb. Under a 600 a grower will get 100g if they suck, but can hit 400-500 if they're great and really hone in conditions. So technically you hit the nail on the head with the yield. You're a top class grower sir !

Been hanging out in the "lurkasphere" and just finished reading your third grow...this one. Very inspiring results! Thanks for sharing all the good information...I am a noob as well. I have a 16" by 36" flower cabinet, so I have been taking notes. So what are you going to try next?

I took clones from the AK48 and the Iced grapefruit and as soon as this one was chopped i put the AK48 into flower and 2 weeks later added the Iced grapefruit so i now have 2 plants in that space :)

LIES!!! Nothing newb about this one Red :)
I was pretty happy with how this one went but it is only my 3rd grow so i do consider myself a newb :)
I was reading about it on and off for about 4 years before i actually popped a seed so i just give them what they need in regards to temps/light/air flow/food etc and let them get on with what they do best :D

It has to come down this weekend, its done but i am also desperate to move the replacements into the flower side, i've run out of room, as you can see she is growing into the reflector and is about 4" away from a 250w mh :o

I'm not keeping a journal for these 2 but here's a quick update pic, the one that was at the back is on the right and has been on 12/12 for 4 weeks today, the one at the front is on the left and has been on 12/12 for 2 1/2 weeks today :)

She is in an 11L fabric pot with a 50/50 mix of coco/perlite
Nutes are full canna coco line with added magne-cal+ and liquid silicone.
Currently at 1.4EC (980PPM @ .7 scale) 5.8PH
Still just running like this? Somewhat hard to believe, where's your magic pixy dust??

Still 11L fabric pots with a 50/50 mix of coco/perlite on the right but the one on the left has only about 10% perlite as i ran out when i repotted her.

Still using full canna coco line with added magne-cal+ and liquid silicone but this time i'm up to 1.6EC with no signs of any burning and PH @ 6.1 in flower fed every day with 2 litres giving a little runoff and twice a week with 3 litres to get more runoff. Canna boost at 2ml/L from start of week 3 onwards and pk13/14 @ 1.5ml/L for 1 week only @ week 5 with expected harvest at end of week 8

I think environment is just as important as nutes so i keep a close eye on temp/humidity too and they definately seem to like it :D

Well dude, what ever you're doing keep it up because it's working. For my next run I think I'm going to run higher calmag and silicone because it seems to give people great results; I know plants have a very high tolerance for them too so burn should be no issue.
