^^^ it claims on their website that the 260 actual power draw is 180w on full illumination......

I'll have to update and do a res change tomorrow. Came home too late and lights are off :p Pics in the morning, they will be wild.

Hey guys. Woke up early, got quite medicated off of a heavy sativa which caused me to take a little bit longer changing the res...lol. Budsites are growing through the screen and I'm almost worried I have too many haha. White pistils started showing halfway through the week.

After much discussion with my hydro guy at the shop, I decided to pick up Super Bat Guano (Budswel) and Canna PK 13/14. I didn't want any bloom boosters that were too intense and had more of a risk of burning, so he suggested this combination. The Budswel is made of Seagull, Bat, and Earthworm guano/castings. It is stated on the label that it is safe for hydroponic use, which I believe since it is pretty liquid, even though it is an organic supplement and smells like shit. My buddy said it's a lot cleaner than something such as molasses in a hydro setup (wouldn't try that anyway...). I used Big Bloom last run and this is basically the same thing if not more effective and for much cheaper ($35 / gallon) and had great results so I think Budswel will be a good addition to my line-up.

I still wanted a boost in PK so he also suggested the Canna PK 13/14. I dosed it today at the start of week 3 and I will again at week 5 even though Canna recommends only using PK 13/14 for one week during the whole flowering phase. I researched and decided that I would dose it low and week 3 and at week 5 dose it at full strength for a last "spike". Other than that, no other bloom boosters.

PPM: 850-950 ppm
Res Temp: 65-68 degrees

Nutrients:
-8ml/g (24ml) Cutting Edge Solutions Micro
-5ml/g (25ml) Cutting Edge Solutions Bloom
-6ml/g (6ml) Canna PK 13/14
-5ml/g (5ml) Silica Blast
-5ml/g (5ml) CalMg+
-45ml/g (45ml) Budswel (Super Bat Guano)

Cut out the Superthrive and CES Grow since the transition/stretch is over. The amount of nutes I use above varies but it's the same basic ratio. I don't like to overfeed. Hopefully a few days after this was mixed up there will be some nice results !

Hey james....I just got my 180 in and its loud as fuck(seeing this is my first panel) and never experienced this noise before from a light fixture....
Wondering if your 260 has the same noise level.......three fans(180) NEVER STOP running.....i mean i'm in bed and i can hear it from down the hall...no grinding noise just high pitched rpms.......any input would be appreciated...

might have to go with the DS larger and Quiet fans.....thanks

be safe and happy growing...
Yeah, I actually know what you're talking about. My LED is in a main room and it was a bit loud at first too. I made a rectangle box out of cardboard, duct-taped some insulation to it, and placed it over my PG260's fans. This isn't as risky as it sounds, I left a vent hole/rectangular slit in the cardboard box that is the whole width of all three fans on one side of the box. The vent hole in the box is about 1/2" high x whatever the width of the box is, cut from the upper portion so that the heat can rise and escape still. This cuts down noise/db a lot, it's a basic cpu fan muffler. The smaller the hole in the cardboard box, the quieter the fans will be, however don't make it too small because they won't push air out properly. I've kept a close watch on the temp of the PG260 unit with the DIY muffler on top and the panel temps haven't risen and I haven't run into any ventilation issues.

Awesome Idea.......too bad I already sent the unit back....I'm looking elsewhere......I'm hard to please:P

One shop is selling the Solarflares for under 400 and i've seen the video of it running and the pump is louder than the one fan on it.....might give it a shot...oh and it's made in AMERICA....go figure..

BTW your girl is looking good.......

Here are the pictures of the muffling box I made. I'm sure you could run it a bunch of different ways, but I wanted the fans to have enough airflow. Still some noise but you can definitely tell the difference.

How big are you expecting the tops to be when done? Not yield, but in inch (") up from the screen?
e

edit...Like are they gonna grow more vertical? I read you said the stretch was over...I was kinda hoping you would get a little more to play with. But still they are gonna be fat chunky nuggs sitting in that screen soon enuf!! :)

I let the tops grow through the screen about 1-2 inches post stretch, so I will be able to maneuver the colas a little bit more. I'll have to show in pictures next res change on Sunday. I'm hoping for some pretty damn tall colas, I put a lot of work and care into this grow. Dry weight, I'm shooting for 150 grams.

so when you lift up the screen to change the res where do you put the screen so the roots or foliage aren't bothered?

I put the screen that is attached to the lid in another 5 gallon aerated bucket that is filled with just PH'ed water for a little "flush" while I change out and clean the res.

Keen- I'll get that list of supplies for you later today

The PK boost and guano addition did wonders already by the way.....budding up real fast. Excited to take pictures for y'all sunday.
