Some AK-47 a couple of weeks before harvest. Will update when they're ready to be chopped!
(Sorry the picture quality isn't the best. I'll try to get better shots next time!)
Enjoy.

This poor girl has had a very traumatic life, her stem split in half and has been held together with wire since the start of flowering. She is doing well. Very proud of her! Haha

who cares about the buds. Show me the Aero system and the bill of materials ;)
Alrighty, I'll give you a quick run down of the system ;) I had to get this equipment from several shops, but for those of you who live in a country with places like Walmart, sounds like they sell everything so lucky you! Haha.

So basically this is the 'Brain,' there is a 56 Litre header tank and a 56 Litre 'Brain,' the header tank gravity feeds into the brain to keep it at the right level as the solutions is used via a ballcock (like you might find in the header tank of a toilet) Simple. Both tanks have airstones in them running 24/7 to keep the water moving as well as aerated.
The brain then has a steel water heater keeping the solution at 20-21 degrees Celsius. And a water pump on a timer.

The pump runs the solution through 13mm tubing which branches into 6mm tubing which goes through the bucket lids in two spots, either side of where the plants are suspended in 45mm wick pots (though I'm now thinking bigger pots will be a beneficial upgrade!) Inside there is two sprinklers/misters per bucket which is enough to cover the whole root zone, then as the water 're-condenses,' it gravity feed back into the reservoir via 19mm tubing.

Enjoy! Only 2 weeks to go! Exciting :)

Thanks mate. Correct! I'm just running the 4 pots at this point, planning to run another 4 with another light but this was my first time using this system so I wanted to sort out a few of the flaws and things before setting up the other light and system. The tops are some of the densest tops I've ever had so I'm hoping my dry weight will surprise me, but I'm aiming for 8oz dry. I'd be happy with that as this was a bit of a trial for this system.

I know I'll be doing a couple things different next time when it comes to nutrients. But it went pretty well. Contemplating doing it ScrOG style next time too, see if that has better results.

I'll be happy with 8oz this pull and aim to double that once I iron out the flaws. But only time will tell if I can pull that off! :)

I'm now about a week away from harvest, I'll let anyone interested know how the pull is once I have a dry weight. I'm already looking forward to some great improvements for the next round!

Best of luck! The AK is a beautiful strain. According to my reading the optimal water temperature for nutrient uptake in hydro is 15 - 24 degrees Celsius, with 29 degrees+ being hamrful, so the heater is set to 20C, whihc is as low as it goes. It only heats when the temps drop below that level so, being that it's summer here at the moment, it's not doing a whole lot of heating haha. I prefer the reservoir temps to be fairly consistent rather than constantly fluctuating. The airstones also help with this, not only aerating the water but helping to keep the temperature constant. Seems to be working well, if I read reliable information that contradicts this I'll look into changing it.

All in all, went pretty well. Pulled 13 oz (trimmed + dry) from 4 plants so pleased with that, definitely some room for improvement though. Excited for round 2!

Looks good,... who's AK is that your running? I'm on day 56 of a Serious Seeds AK47 and just beginning to showing amber. Yours smell much before picking?

I'm running Serious Seeds AK as well, and yes, it absolutely stank when in the grow room. Outside the grow room couldn't smell a thing; thanks to the good ol' carbon filter! :D

What nutes were you using? I am going to be starting a aerosystem shortly with AK-47 and if I can get them to finish like those buds I would be more than pleased. Also thinking of a scrog grow. Any insite would be greatly appreciated.
