Air tight storage container?

I like to keep my green and accessories in a safe. Thing is, I also like to keep important documents and other valuables in the safe as well. No big deal right? Unfortunately, the smell of green and pipes overwhelms the safe and leaves everything smelling like it. I've tried ziplock baggies, mason jars, ziplock baggies inside mason jars, "airtight" containers from hobby lobby, all to no avail. Every time I open the safe I get hit in the face with the smell. I'm afraid that if I ever need to use any of the documents inside, I'll have to air them out for a day or two first! Not cool. I've tried pulling everything out for a day to make sure the safe doesn't just permanently smell like it, and when I opened it up, no smell! I usually just smell the burnt pipe smell (even thought I keep them inside containers) but recently I got a real skunky smelling strain that I smell when I open the safe even though it's in a mason jar. I know lots of people swear by them, but they are just not 100% airtight. So, I ask all of you for your advice on what containers to use.

Instead of trying to seal your green from the others, seal the others from the green.
Get a food vacuum seal thing for the kitchen, they're around $100 or less now I think, and the refill rolls let you mane the bags a couple different widths and any length you want.

Camping stores like REI usually have smell proof baggies and containers. I've also seen smell proof jars on various cannabis sites. The TightPac comes to mind, but I haven't used it myself. I've never had a problem with glass jars, so long as they have a good rubber seal, but then again, I haven't tried putting my meds in a safe like you have.

Which ever container or bag you settle on, it might also be worth putting activated charcoal or a small back of baking soda in your safe as well, to absorb the excess odors.

Here's links to the odor proof bags and the tightpac jars... hope it helps...

Buy a second safe. Otherwise imchucky666 has the best advice so far. Or can it. Here in AK at Wally World they sell a canning kit to seal your salmon in CANS! Including the cans and extra cans are available.
