Air purifiers

I recently have obtain an air purifier(not a filter to go on ducts). So Im wondering does this actually do anything for the plants?
I didn't buy it, it was free just in case your wondering.

if its a purifier its cleaning the air which is good .kills mold and fungus spores

Thats good cuz I was worried about that. My grow room was cleaned, but its not perfect, I still have furniture, blinds, carpet, etc. Its a hobby(learning experience) with more than one benefit.
