Air cooled Reflectors when upgrading from 400w > 600w hps

I have a fairly basic set up at the moment - 400w hps / euro reflector and maxibright ballast..

I have seen a good deal on a 600w hps system which includes a Maxibright compact 600w ballast, Sunmaster 600w Super HPS deluxe bulb and euro reflector..

I'm looking to upgrade to an Aerowing or Ultralite air cooled reflector, does anyone have an advice on either of these brands and whether going for an air cooled reflector is worth it?

The plus points I have found are that the temp is more controlled in the tent and you can place them closer to your ladies..

Another reason I am choosing one of these over the standard reflector is that they are closed end so light is not wasted as more will be reflected in the right direction.

With upgrading from a 400w - 600w hps will there be a noticeable increase in yield?

I really need some advice on whether to go for aircooled or just a closed end reflector :/

I have used the search box but too many posts come up with hundreds of pages?!

I don't know about these brands but I will tell you don't buy a cheap one as the glue and glass are crap. When hot if bumped they will crack, cold water will crack them. I use German ones, they import them here and cost me about 40$ more than the average, after all I'm in it for the long haul.

Yes more yield.

Don't be so negative..LMAO:blsmoke:

Cheers for the reply mate, forgot to reply myself!

I bought an EcoTechnics Diamond Air cooled reflector to use with a Sunmaster 600w Dual Spectrum bulb, hopefully I will increase my yield using these two together!

I noticed they did a non-air cooled version, still all the benefits of the design of the diamond shape! Did you notice positive effects from using the ecotechnics one over a standard reflector?
