lmao fucking Trump he is such a moron.

You know Biden is smart enough (and has people surrounding him that are fr smarter) to walk Trump right into every trap he wants to if he gets the actual rules of the debate set up the way he would be willing to agree to.

Trump is surrounded by INCEL hate mongers who some may be very smart, but can't get past Dear LEader's ego long enough to actually make a difference, and Biden would destroy him like he did last time.

In 2020 Biden was playing by the current POTUS' rules of debate. This time Trump is the one trying to get on the same debate state and has shit for cards outside of about 12% of the nation that is in his cult electing him to be the frontrunner of the Republicons. Trump is a bumbling joke of a traitorous spoiled rich kid these days. I actually look forward to seeing Trump speed snorting ass just get owned on stage.

I loved Biden's response to the debate cry from right wing propagandists like Trump though, I look forward to months and months of him just destroying Trump before they do one debate right before the election as a cherry on top.

It's telling that Trump is already demanding a debate with Biden. He said he wouldn't attend the debates during the primary because:

"I like to debate. I probably am here because of debates. I don't mind it at all," he told Fox News' Bret Baier in an interview this summer. "But when you're 40 points up .... Why would I let these people take shots at me?"

Now Trump says:

In a radio interview on "The Dan Bongino Show," Trump suggested that he would like to "immediately" debate his White House successor.
"I’d like to debate him now because we should debate. We should debate for the good of the country," Trump said.

And the response from Biden? Is telling in that he seems less needy:

Biden responded to Trump's comments on Monday during a stop in Nevada.
“Immediately? Well, if I were him, I’d want to debate me, too. He’s got nothing else to do,”

and:

Biden himself also hasn’t committed to debating. Speaking to reporters as he was leaving the White House for an event in Philadelphia, Biden said that a back-and-forth with Trump on a debate stage “depends on his behavior,” referring to Trump’s erratic tendency to interrupt and attack his political opponents.

So, this time, Biden is saying he sees no reason for a debate.

If one happens, and I think it likely that at least one debate will, Biden seems to be saying it will happen under a different set of rules to prevent the orange bloviator from ignoring time limits. Maybe mics and cameras will be turned off when it's not their time to speak. It seems to me that the Biden's team will have to assume that Trump will not behave according to the rules and set the stage to prevent him from interrupting, deflecting from the topic of a question, repeating lies or running over his time limits. Just watch a few moments of this performance:

The open format of the 2020 debate is unworkable given how that man behaves.

Yeah he is ridiculous and depends on rolling over people and his applause lines to put on his show.

I would call that a safe bet. He gets a thrill from breaking the rules as publicly as possible. He is a narcissist who continues to get away with obvious criminal acts, and he gets off on it.

The complicity of an entire party is the part that took me by surprise. The Guardian essay on the neoliberal agenda has explanatory power to me.

I just do not buy the notion that Trump would adhere to any rules and to imagine CNN/Fox (or whatever) cutting away from the blubbering idiot seems counterproductive to their purpose in life.

my preferred stance would be Biden just saying “thanks for the offer but I don’t debate sexual predators”.

It;s becoming increasingly apparent come decision time that to my dismay Biden will have at least 4-5 MILLION more votes than Trump, but it is going to come down to WIS/MIC/PENN that determine this election.ALL the damning evidence, all the warnings, all the ridiculous spin and I'm feeling this decision about democracy vs. whatever the FK MAGA claims is going to be an extremely uncomfortable razor thin margin. I'm staring to despise this Electoral College form of election as it's warts increasingly present themselves. AT this point Biden might not hold GA. and Arizona,if they go and Trump takes ONE of the WIS/MIC/PENN states then he's in the FKN WhiteHouse AGAIN despite losing GEN election by MILLIONS. The only state possibly being flipped D is NC. Things not looking bright, all due to the EC, If this was determined by actual votes I wouldn't have a FKN worry in the world, finding it hard to accept that this is fair considering the consequences involved, and I'm really concerned w/the country's reaction if it plays out as stated,I couldn't accept this DKhead as my Pres. in 2024 and hope w/my last breath I don't wake up the "day after" w/this scenario playing out.
