Medical marijuana advocate kills herself
She was a high-profile campaigner for the Montana Medical Marijuana Act, and like others, she was dismayed when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that drug agents could still arrest sick people using marijuana, even in states that legalized its use.
This is just a small part of the fascism taking place in this country today.

It's a plant! Given to us by GOD and the evil ones put sick people in jail, for greed, control and power! This is BULLSHIT! They don't give a damn about the people! Wake up!

This is sad shit. I doubt if this is an isolated case. I had a friend that had massive pain from a whiplash injury and finally got tired of living with the pain or the stupor brought on by pain medicine that he took himself out with a .45 auto. I had a back injury, whiplash from a disneyland ride,(space mountain), that had it not gone away, I would have definently considered suicide. I couldn't stand up and had to crawl like a crab. I don't think MJ would have helped that.

Did she kill herself because of the Supreme Court ruling? That ruling has NO bearing on a medical patient growing a few plants in her/his closet.

I suspect she killed herself because of, as Med said, unbearable, long suffered pain.

This has nothing to do with "fascism" but DOES point out how certain dimwits will use anything, including the suffering and suicide of a chronic pain person, to make a political point.

Here's how it goes: The USSC rules that the state's MMJ laws do not supersede the federal government's right to enforce federal drug laws in the states. Then a chronic pain sufferer kills herself because she can no longer handle the pain. Therefore ... her death is the fault of fascist, jack-booted, federal law enforcement thugs. You all can see the logic in that, no? Bah!~

There is this game called 3 degrees of Kevin Bacon where you pick an actor and in three movies or less you can relate it back to Kevin Bacon.

Seems that there are a lot of people on this board that use that same ideology but insert Bush in for Kevin Bacon and insert everything that happens in the country, no matter how inconsequential or off center, can be blamed on Bush. I don't have the highest opinion of the guy but, come on people.

Well I'm not surprise that people that adore kissing boot-jacks ass wouldn't get the connection. The woman killed herself because she couldn't get the pot to help ease the pain.... and when did I mention the illegitimate bush in this thread .... you boot-jack ass kissers need to learn how to read.

Just wanted to get that out there before hand because I am sure it would come up sooner or later.

The woman killed herself because she was mentally unstable.....how about you make the connection.

"After her earlier attempt failed, Prosser wound up in even more trouble after investigating police found marijuana in her home. She used the marijuana to help cope with pain."

Looks like she had the weed and tried to commit suicide before.....again read what you post before you open your piehole.

my dad has an auto-immune disorder that causes him terrible pain. he's often told me that he wished he would die, because of the pain. it comes and goes, randomly. he's not unstable, he has advanced scientific degrees and more than 3 decades of service in government labs as a GS-14.

if he was allergic to opiates, as this lady apparently was, and IF marijuana provided him the neuropathic pain relief that dozens of scientific studies attribute it with, he would probably do the same thing she did if the ATF was stealing his only effective medicine.

the ATF was stealing the bud that her providers shipped to her in accordance with state law. the packages did not cross state lines.

the federal government actively sentenced her to death by means of an abhorrently cruel punishment that caused unbearable pain and extinguished her will to live.

that's just my opinion.

I'm willing to bet she was more mentally stable than you ...

“I feel immensely let down,” Prosser would write a few months later, in a guest opinion for the Billings Gazette published July 28. “I have no safety, no protection, no help just to survive in a little less pain. I can't even get a job due to my medical marijuana use - can't pass a drug test.”

[snip]
The ruling came to haunt Prosser in late March, when DEA agents seized less than a half ounce of marijuana sent to her by her registered caregiver in Flathead County.

[snip]
Federal prosecutors declined to charge Prosser, but fear spread through the system of marijuana distribution set up in the wake of the medical marijuana act. Friends said Prosser turned to other sources for marijuana, but found problems nearly everywhere she turned.

“Most recently, she had found some people who said they could get her what she needed, but it didn't go well,” said her friend Jane Byard.

Without the relief that marijuana delivered to her, Robin Prosser killed herself at home last week. She was 50.

So just keep kissing those boot-jacks ass buddyboy ... it's what you are best at ... :-|:spew::-|
