Against 4000k (for humans!)

The new car head lights are also very blue/white compared to the old ones. I guess it's just becoming a bluer world.

I can say that color recognition is easier under the new streetlights. The older HPS color light made everything hard to differentiate...like the color of a car...or clothing.

What keeps me awake at night has little to do with the color of the streetlights...but more about what's going on under them.

I was surprised how warm the new LED lights on my block are--they must be 3000K.

Interesting.
I've seen both kinds around me, they seem to put the brighter bluer ones near intersections or on busy streets, and the warmer dimmer ones in residential areas. The warmer ones look like regular LEDs to me, and the blue/white ones are COBs. My house has bright ones on the side where my outdoor grow is... the old dim yellow street lights didn't mess with my grow, we'll see if these new brighter ones do.
