Got some Gas and Guns and Mauvelous Autos seeds from Afterthought Autos via GLC, and the leaves are all deformed... They came out the dirt like that... Maybe the genetics arent that great? 15307269098281648204372.jpg 15307269686081955011343.jpg 1530727035153471285339.jpg

I planted babalu and blueberry jar from them and out of 20 seeds, 14 sprouted and 2 were mutants. I assumed it was the blueberry but maybe not. Ended up with 7 females outside but two developed white powdery mildew in the buds and had to be pulled. Still several weeks to go so fingers crossed I can harvest something.

I wonder why they are doing that? Is that why they give you so many seeds cause they know that some are going to be crazy looking or not grow right? Well we'll have to just wait and see...

Yes Frank,...…..what is the point of a auto male, all I can think of is bad breeding, & if you did want a male auto, you can use collidial Silver

Not all autoflowers are feminized. Most auto breeders do take the extra step of producing feminized seeds, but not all. I’m guessing that Afterthought produces regular autoflower seeds. Granted, the descriptions on GLG do not make this clear at all, which sucks. I’m just guessing with 14 seeds per pack, they’re probably regs.

Yeah ,thats probably why... Thought id give em' a chance... So out of 4 seeds, two were male, one female and one still a question mark... Got some mephisto forum stomper and blue toof special growing also so its not that big of a loss... Bout to pop some Useful Seeds... Double Dipped Strawberries feminized, Orange Cookies x Chocolate Diesel fem, Gorilla Glue x Chocolate Diesel fem and a Chocolate Diesel S1 fem...

Yes afterthought auto are regs not fems, which is why you get more seeds for such a low price. I knew that going in which is why I saved them for outdoors. Unfortunately all mine developed pm in the buds and were culled. So to recap; 20 seeds planted, 14 seeds sprouted, 2 mutants culled, 5 males culled, 7 females, 0 buds harvested. Very disappointing but the genetics aren't completely to blame. It's been a horrible year of high humidity and no breeze

I still think that some of the blame goes to the breeders for not specifying that the seeds are regs and not fems... I would never buy a reg auto... What for when I could get some real fem autos, know what I mean?

exactly Frank, the only reason we try to grow a auto (which is hard enough to get them to perform) is time & fruit
I didn't know there was Reg auto seed (but im not the brightest light on the Christmas tree)
IMO buying a Reg auto seed , is like buying a hen that turns out to be a rooster!!!!

Ive read about them at different seed stores, but whats the point? I mean, its cool if you get female plants, but like you said, what can you do with a male auto? I guess you could pollinate some females for seeds... They will all be female autos then, I think, but I don't have the time or patience to deal with all that... If I get some autos I want to pop em',plant em',chop em, and drop em'!!!

Thought we'd chime in. FYI, we've always bred regular autoflower seeds since we started out in 2007, before marketing them in 2009. Heat, cramped space can cause stress - males, leaf patterns. Our customers and ourselves, we use 3-5 gallon containers. Too, our genetics are different than others, yet have numerous clientele from Grow For Vets to several different seed and forum sites. We don't aim to stack up with Mephisto. We have our niche`, many not on forums, but in need of good meds, rec use.

Indeed, the blueberry genes can and does create mutants from time to time.....just part of the lineage.

Thanks for trying them- Frank Nitty and others.
