After seeds break ground do I still need the humidity dome?

I bought a little green house propagation thingy. Its got a heating pad, the main plastic bottom pan divided into 72 little niches which each hold a pre moistened oasys starter cube. Its than got a 12 inch or so plastic humidity dome that has a flouro long light that runs at the top of the humidity dome.

I'm having pretty good germination rates, however, it seems that they are stretching a lot. I've got a couple of bag seeds that popped out of the cubes 8 days ago and the stalks are very lanky and they are probably close to 3 inches or more tall. I've got good roots coming out of the cubes and will transplant them this weekend.

I also have some high quality seeds that I just planted 5 days ago, they are sprouted and already close to 2 inches tall. Are they stretching too much? Do I need to keep the humidity dome on after they are growing or can I remove the light from the dome and put the light closer to help prevent this stretching?
