i am new to growing marijuana and i have a question. Is it possible that after harvesting the buds from the marijuana plant, can it be put back into vegetative stage to produce more leaves and thus be able to go back into flowering stage to start the budding cycle all over again? Or do it have to be thrown away after harvesting?

It's not uncommon to do this. as far as the issues you might face, it won't be as vigorous, and usually won't grow as large (the second yield will be a lot smaller). I haven't seen any other major issues. In short it is a bit faster than growing a whole new plant (and you already know the sex), but it won't produce like if you grew a whole new plant.
