Aeroponics using a Fogger/ultrasonic Humidifier? or a low maintenace alternative?

Whats up guys, my first post on here!! I grew with the DWC method, now I'm leaning toward Aeroponics because it seemed every flowering cycle my roots would turn to brown sludge after 5 weeks!! Had a real problem with those Fuckgus Gnats too!! Anyway was wondering if anyone has tried using a fogger/ultrasonic humidifier instead of the sprayers? To me it would seem like the roots would be suspended in 100% humidity for as long as the fogger ran making an abundance of oxygenated roots, just didnt know if the nutrients would suspend in the fog? Anyway I have an ultrasonic just sitting around now that I got bored growing cubes and am wanting to start up a "USER FRIENDLY"/LOW MAINTENANCE system. The reason being is I work out of town for a week or two at a time and my old lady doesnt have the slightest idea about growing anything, she just has the smoking down pat!! Thanks guys

the mist wont support large root systems and dWC+biomass= plenty of humity not to mention the air stone already so no need to combine them. foggers are good for cloning thats about it.

nothing about aero is low maintenance or user friendly, unless you got deep pockets.

Thanks for the reply, sorry for the confusion but wasnt gonna try to combine them, but using the ultrasonic for cloning is a good idea!! If I decide to go with the DWC again should i use totes or individual 2 gallon buckets for each plant? I used individual buckets last time and i think that is what led to most of my problems, due to the water temp rising alot easier in a smaller container as opposed to a larger tote. Unless i can find a way to minumize temperature fluctuations in the 2 gal buckets? And as for the Aero setup, money really isnt that big of an issue considering i only have 64 sq./ft of space to work with. I shouldve stated in my OP I'll be home around once a week so i could handle most of the maintenance on any system, I'm sure the Mrs. could handle raising the lights if need be.

you need to address why your roots are turning to brown sludge... Not changing your nutes after 2 weeks? Not using a bene tea? Temps too high? Just sounds like your neglecting something. Not worth changing setups if your too lazy to master the one you have.
