Aeroponic cloning methods

Hi everyone. After seeing someone I follow on Instagram talk about their cloning "potions" I thought id start a discussion.

I always thought a sterile rez was the only way to go but my roots always show up thin and stringy. I used just tap water with h202 with no real application rate dialled in yet.

I was told uc roots, kln and cultured solutions give great results which indeed I saw!

What do you guys use? How long till you get roots and do they go wild?

I was oblivious to scraping the cambium layer and thought that wasn't needed for these cloners! So with my upcoming clones I'll be doing that and possibly applying some superthrive as the above products aren't available where I am located.

Hopefully this helps a few of us out there that struggle for good root zones and have cloning failures.

- also, do you use humidity domes with your clones? I hear not many people do yet they are sold with them! If not do you monitor RH in the room or spray the clones to avoid transpiration? Thanks!

I just use a diy bubble or dwc cloner and tap water.. good results usually within 10 days..

I run Rdwc and run bennies never done a sterile run and my roots grow extremely well... never had any issues with root problems. 17 to 18 deg C using a chiller and personally think temps and good water movement is key to a healthy root zone.. I will try and take some pics tonight of the roots in my current bubblegummer grow... just flipped 12/12 and roots are already half way to filling the pot.

DIY 5 gal ive used for ever. I've had equal success scraping the cambium and not. Same with splitting down the middle an inch or so
