i say no way...the lid could never support 30 plants plus the roots would knit like crazy ansd it would be waaayyy too crowded

well ya it would work but your stuck with them in there till the end...no moving em around cause of the roots knitting...but if that works for your situation then hell ya grow those bitches...lol

Cut holes to hold 5.5 inch net pots, filled with hydrotron, you'll need to stiffen the top too.

how do you go about stiffening the tops of storage bin my creative side is lacking today or maybe its this shitty weed makin me stupid

You could try mounting a pvc pipe across the top under the lid with a couple ends from a closet rod screwed through the outside for easy removal of the rod. Or it might be easier to just make a vertical support with a piece of pvc from the bottom center striaght up with the lid center sitting on it. An elbow or something on the bottom for balance and you could remove it whenever. Drill a few holes so the inside gets a little circulation, and you can mount a thermometer etc. to it.
