Aeroponic Cloner Questions

Just ran across the June 09 edition of High Times. Inside they have a diagram setup of an aero cloner unit that l really liked. Very simple 18 gal roughneck tub with a water pump and micro sprayers attached to 1/2'' pvc pipes. It goes further to describe that the net pots are only 2'' pots. I liked this idea cause u can jst take the pots out of the cloner and put them in your veg setup. My 2 main questions are.....

Can a plant be grown to full maturity in a 2'' net pot?
Wouldn't the plants be top heavy?

Thanks for your answers! Peace :joint:

i think what you would want to do is once the plant is ready to move to the veg tub you could use a bigger net pot, like a 4" or whatever and put your growing meidum or hydroton around between the 2 containers thats pretty much what i do i go from 3" to a 9" and i clone using neoprene pucks.

Thanks for the input. I'd like to try and keep the plants in a 2'' or at most 3'' net cups. Plan to put 3 plants into a dwc 10 gal sterlite containers. I know it seems like a tight fit, but I've had two plants in them with room to spare. I used 4'' last time.

Oh def, I can easily fit 4, 10 gal roughnecks in my grow tent. I know I can fit 3 in each container, so if i can get 12 plants at 1 oz (with the help of Co2 + 400w hps) then I'd be a happy camper. The thing that confuses me is that High Times shows these huge 3ft plants (like 6 of them) nestled in a fence post grow. Which is basically jst a square plastic fence post with holes cut in them for the plants, and misters inside the fence post. IDK how those plants have enough root room to grow that large! Stuff like that makes me think that the magazine is not on the up and up.

what you may be looking at is the stinkbud thread. harvest every 3 weeks. there is some great advice in there you should read.
