Aerogarden to waterfarm transplant?

Im a newbie and this is my first grow. I purchased an aerogarden with the hopes of making it simple. It is housed is a 40" tall, 30" wide and 18" deep painted white closet with exhaust fans.

I planted 6 northern lights seeds that had germinated and I now have 3 strong plants and 2 not so strong plants growning 18/6 under the aerogarden classic lights and 2 suppplemental cfls.

This is my goal: I want to keep it simple and I want to maximize my chances for a successful grow. This is my question: the roots of the 3 strongest plants already are getting pretty long (10 inches in some cases) and I am wondering if I am better off sticking my 3 strong candidates in a single waterfarm. Based on my reading, it seems like the real problem with the aerogarden is the size of the resovoire (about 1 gallan). I guess I don't want to turn to flowering in a couple weeks and kill the crop because the roots have no where to go.

I don't mind the $50 for the waterfarm...im already in it for a few hundred $. The question now is what increases my potential for success.

Thanks
Zardo

you should be able to go to any hydro shop and pick up the hardware kit for the waterfarm....get a bucket and and a net pot that is slightly larger than the drip halo from the kit and basically use the waterfarm that you paid 50$ for as a template. In the end the kit should be 15$, the bucket possibly free, net pot a buck or two, and then the are pump depending on the size you can run multiple off one pump. hope this help any questions just ask

I have only 1 plant in my AG and during flowering it would soak up almost the full gallon in one day so with 3 plants you would get in trouble. My biggest worry for you would be trying to get the plants out of the AG. My roots are too big and fat to try and pull the plant out of the tiny hole in the AG so I wish you the best of luck with that. My suggestion is to go to the Grow Faq section and look at a couple of DIY Hydro systems. You could build one real cheap and tweak it to best suit your set up and space. The easiest and cheapest would be a bublponics system and would work well sence you already have established roots. People have been really successful with these simple setups.

I was thinkin the same thing. A lot of people say they transfer from AG to something else. I would like to know how they do it. I had a hard time gettin my male out of my AG and I cut the shit out of it.
