I was looking around and I found a setup a person used with the AeroGarden. What do you guys think of the setup? I thought it was pretty cool and nice looking.

They should be able to handle starting exotic chillies since you don't have to worry about watering them every 1 or 2 days in soil in those jiffy pucks or w/e. I did a test to see how much heat one of those put out and I wouldn't warm up around 510 cubic feet area with one having it running all day during the winter. As for the summer time I never had to much heat from 1 of those.

You are looking at around $150 for a 6 pod system to $200+ for a 7 pod system depending what 7 pod model you chose and if you chose to get extras for it. The AeroGarden 7 pod system has about a 2 foot grow height from the top of the container to the lights and in the 6 pod system its less so you have to remember that you have to learn how to tie down, top and fim in the AeroGarden but every thing I grow in it love the system.

In the end I would recommend them if you don't mind spending the money over having to buy all the parts to build your own and have to use more then 1 plug or wire it together so that you can use 1 plug for your custom AeroGarden setup. I was doing pricing on making my own 7+ pod version of the AeroGarden 7 system but just for the light fixtures and lights I am looking at around $100 give or take just for the lights.

The Aerogarden isn't made to have soil in it so no you can't put pots of soil in it. Doing that will cause alot of problems.

I'm thinking of buying one of the 7 pod systems. Does anyone here know if you can use FF nutes instead of the expensive ones that come with it?

When you buy one new they come with a seed kit and nutes so you don't have to buy any. Also yes you can use any kind of nuts in it. I started using B-1 Thrive in mine.
