yeah. he said he spooned it off. i told him to make sure the pump was still working, because standing water will gum up pretty quickly. if that's not the problem, then i'll go with the hydrogen peroxide. he said that yesterday they looked phenomenal and this morning they were all droopy. i thought it might be the heat at first, then he told me about the film. i really hope it's fixable. i'd hate to lose these ladies when i'm so close to harvest :(

alright. got up to jax to check on the ladies over the weekend. lucky i got up there when i did, because they'd def. be dead by now. kind of a long story, but here goes...

turned out the airstone was clogged, so the water was stagnant. stagnant nute water = quite possibly worst smelling thing EVER. anyway, the stagnant water had started rotting the roots. BAD. the big plant on the right was falling over and dying, and the one on the left was starting to. i replaced the airstone with a couple big ones, changed and rinsed the res., and rinsed the roots, which were disgustingly gray/brown. added some hydrogen peroxide to some spring water and refilled with a prayer. just talked to my buddy, and he said they're coming back great. so i think that's taken care of. but since the buds stopped growing due to oxyegn deprivation, i have to wait x amount of more time now until i can harvest.

on the condition of the plants...i forgot to take pics since i was so caught up in saving them, but the buds look great! the big one on the right is covered with dark green buds covered in orange hairs, and the smaller one on the left has neon yellow/green buds all over it that are covered in crystals! the buds are looking to be some dank shit if i can just get them to increase in size, which i'm sure will happen now that the water is good again. my friend said that the buds have already noticeably gotten bigger since friday when we changed the water. so that's the update. once again, sorry that there arent any pics, but take my word that aside from the drooping and leaf loss due to algae on the water, they're looking good. i'm goin up in a couple more weeks to check again and i'll try to get pics then. everyone take it easy

Good luck man, I'd hate to see you loose those ladies after all the work you've done. Sounds like you have it under control at the moment though. Happy growing.

Oh man, I'm glad you jumped all over that. Hydrogen peroxide is the BEST!!! Were there any light leaks in the reservoir? Looking forward to seeing some pics!!

i don't think there was any light getting in, just no circulation of the water, which led to stagnation. and if anyone wants pics sooner, feel free to send me the tank of gas it takes my big ass republican suv to drive up there and back. :)

hey guys, i just started my first ag grow and the babies are doing pretty well. I have 2 og kush and 1 papaya...yesterday one of the kush (the healthier one actually) started gettting a little browning on the leaves, im thinking nute burn but im not positive. They were all planted by the 1st and I added a quarter tab of nutes on the 8th and then I flushed the res and added a full tab yesterday. Was it too early??? should i flush again and replace with straight water or what? any help/tips/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The pics are (in order) og kush 1 (with possible nute burn ), og kush 1, og kush 2, papaya

alright, finally have pics. went up last weekend after giving them 2 weeks to recover from the root rot with just plain water. had just started nutes back up a couple days before the pics were taken. you can see how many dead leaves i cut off. that's how bad the root rot was. the smaller plant on the left is doing great. i tried to get pics of the buds crowding out in the foliage, but i dunno if you can see em. there are buds EVERYWHERE on these plants. i'm so stoked. buds are gettin bigger by the day now, or so my updates that i get day to day are telling me that, and the bigger plant just started producing again...it was the one that was hurt most by the rot. other than that, they're goin good. rearranged the lights after i took the pics, and did some other shit, but i'll get pics of that up next time. i'll be going up to check on them/harvest the weekend of valentine's day, hopefully they'll be ready or almost ready by then. i'm def. buying an hps for my next grow. even though the cfl's arent horrible, you can still tell the difference in the buds grown. anywho, enjoy and let me know what you think.
