Aerogarden and growing mj

First, excuse my "newbieness"
I have an Aerogarden and would like to know if it would work. If I planted now, how long would I have to wait until I can smoke from my own garden?

u could start of with 2 weeks veg thats lights on for 18 hours of for 6 hours.it depends on witch strain u get they range from 6 weeks right up 16 weeks the avarage is 8 weeks ..aero gives u a good start. a 2week veg is like a month veg in soil so u have a great advatage..the next thing is turning lights 12 on 12 off and u should be smoking saying u got a 8 week strain u would be smoking in 10 weeks and a extra 7 days 2 dry depending on were u dry it mines has been dry in 5 days..so not bad. its all about getting the write strain i recomend going with hashplant it can be ready in 45 days or abbys that ready in 7 weeks thats a dear 1.but well worth the money. if its your 1st time doing aeroponics u will need ph meter.and a ec meter.the best bet is going for canna they do 1 called aqua veg and aqua flores its a 2 part nutrent its cheap and good for what u want 2 do every thing in the 2 bottels.the only thing is u have 2 use hydrogen peroxide this will keep your misters clean.other than that as long as u change tour tank every 7 to 10 days and every thing should be alright.so hope ive gave u a we bit of a start hope everything goes good for u happy growing all the best.......

I have one It works fine ,, Germ your seeds in a wet paper towel.. Then put them in the aerogarden. Also as the become 2''-3'' tall add an airstone 3"-4" and a small airpump. The seeds dont germ fast in the aerogarden thats why you use a wet paper towel .. the put into the AG

I may try using another light and use only the base of the AG. That will give me more control I think. I have a 250 Metal Halide pendant that I'm not using, from one of my Reef aquariums that I may use together with the AG.
So basically I plant it, wait for it to flower, then harvest? Do I change light cycles? How do I know when it's ready to cut and let it dry?
Seems like I have some good reading to do!
