Hello All! Thi is my first post. I have read many a thread on this site(THANK YOU!) LOL Simple question. I just started flowering yesterday. I have Advanced Nutrients Bud Blood, and a light amount of Advanced Nutrient micro, grow & bloom in my nutrient solution. Should i have the setting on herbs basil which is 18 on 6 off? or should i have it on Salad greens, 24 on? The sponge stays wet so im not sure in 24 hr on is necessary. I do have pics. I will post if i gather some interest. Any responses are apppreciated! :joint: :peace: :hump:

I can't answer any of your questions about the Aerogarden but I can tell you that BudBlood is only used in the first 2 weeks of flowering. After than you can keep using your 3 part and maybe add some bud enhancer (Dr Hornbys Big Bud, etc). Remember....bloom enhancers add to your PPM. Be careful....don't over nute.

Good Luck!

Thanks man. I do have hornsby's big bud & overdrive. I will use the bud blood the first week or two(said one week on bag). So ill keep my three part going with the extra additives. keep an eye on the PPM(bud blood only adds 200PPM) i put extremely light dosage of my three part with that. Should i leave my solution as is. or add a lil more of my three part to the current solution in resevoir? Im def posting pics later when i get home. I have one surprise seed of superior quality which is the best looking so far. and i have 4 white widdow. Pics to come!!!

Again...I can't comment on the aerogarden but in order to simplify things you should understand that nute mixes are based on ratios. As your plants get older you'll be adding less of the "Grow" and more of the "Bloom". You want a real easy recipe? Google "BD97 recipe" and you'll get the proper proportions. Does that mean you want to follow his recipe to the tee? Well...yes and no. You want the same proportions but if after you mix them up the PPM is too high you can dilute it to your "preferred PPM". You're still using the same ratios....just diluted.

Big Bud and Over Drive work well. Look in to Carboload too. That really packs on the weight....but I always suggest that you mix at 1/2 the recommended strength. Its WAY better to under-nute than to over-nute.

$210?

I think you should use it to grow herbs,
and get a new set up for weed.

There are many failed AGs here.
I have seen modified AGs
where they tried to add lighting
and make room for the weed,
but the grow still was very poor.

Your plants do look healthy,
which will be your downfall,
as they will quickly get too large for the AG.

Good pictures.

I think you will have a nice grow journal,
once you move on
to a real MJ hydro system.

These guys have pretty good deals on lights, meters, nutes, etc.

Less number of plants do better . I'm not knocking it cause I have one ,, Ive done 4 plants in there and they were drinking 40 oz of water a day , they had no room to go.. and the amount of lighting you need is crazy to get the bottom buds , I would just do 1 or two in it .. Also your light should be about two to three inches from the top of the plant .. Good luck.

Ive seen many failed attempts at the aero when i did research after i got it. lol However, it is my first grow and im really into it. A friend of mine told me he got a nice amount and smoke was pretty good. With prices the way they are for good bud i was like screw it ill give it a shot. I got the original, realized the lighting and height would not suffice. I bought the extension and light upgrade. I def will step my game up after this attempt. I want to make the best of this though! Thanks for taking the time and checking the kids out, ill keep you all updated. Love this site. Stoked! :hump::peace: :joint:

Yeah they are drinking allot of water. I just add distilled water to top them off. I shouldn't be using more nutrient right? Should i use any other light during flower? I read that green light at night when reg lights are off is good. Is that true? At least ill know soon enough which are male or female and it will make more room for females. Thanks for interest and input man!!!

It's hard not to get into! check out the lowryder strains, I bet a couple of those would be good for the AG. the experience is priceless for your future grows! :)

Go to walmart, spend $5,
and get a tub or bucket, big enough for growing weed.

You need a $20 airpump also.

Then get a good pH meter,
some real hydro nutes,
and good lights.

Quit spending money on the AG,
unless you want a countertop herb garden,
'cause your cost overhead on the yield
will be very high for pot,
if you try to grow weed in one of "those things".
(I'mba hoding my bnose)

Get some basil and rosemary to grow in that thing,
and use a tub or bucket for your cannabis plant.

You don't need to spend $200 on the machine,
you need to spend it on the nutes and lights.

Go ahead and transplant them into a bucket now.
