i wanted to know how to make my plants fan out more......to produce more leaves ........i really dont care about the height

Goes in the order : Genetics, Light source, train.

You could do some low stress training to force them to go wider

I agree. Topping is a nice effective method

FIM them and trim off the lower branches and they will take off.

you could top em, that would do something, but to me it looks like your plants need more light. what do you have on them?

You need more light. And if you are using CFL's get them closer (2-3 inches away).
