ADVICE NEEDED - Stealth Mini-Fridge

Just looking for someone who knows what they are doing to help me keep this low and bushy. I have zero experience in topping and/or ScrOG'n. I still have the rack from the fridge so maybe that will help with the potential ScrOG (If that's what needs to be done). The CFL's are on a fixed bracket so they wont be getting lowered (I know you want them as close as possible but it's flourishing as is and it can't happen. Anyway, here are the Mini-Fridge specs:

18" Deep
17.5" Wide
32" High
3 42 Watt CFL's (2700K for Flower and Daylight Kelvin rating ones as well)
5" 176CFM Inline fan for exhaust
4" x 2" Passive Intake port
Carbon Scrubber after Inline fan and ONA Gel
Custom "Fixed Pot" Caulked and sealed directly in the middle.
Poor man's tinfoil reflector
Pot is 7" High
Plant is 8" High x 10" in diameter

Thanks for any helpful advice,

Very Nice build!

You can keep the plant Low and Bushy alot of different ways! The BEST way would be to raise the plants closer to the lights, so take advantage of the frig's shelving system. LST, SuperCropping, FIM, Topping, Bending, Pinching, Defoliation, SCROG ....etc... are many different Training techniques you can use as well to shape your plant just about ANY way you like.

Good Luck! She is a BEAUTY!

Peace

Sick idea mate, if I was only gonna have one plant this would definitely be the way to do it.
Id say just keep the lights as close as possible and it wont stretch more than it needs to make space for new branches.

Thanks guys. The only problem is that I had to jigsaw a hole and drop the pot down to the lower level and seal it so the pot can't move and as for the lights, they are screwed to the bracket up top. So lights cant get any closer unless maybe I attach one of my socket bulb wye's in the middle to bring a bulb down like 2-3 inches... I'll try that later and throw a pic up..... if it works. As for the ScrOG and topping or pinching, when is a good time to do either? Like can I top it during a flower light cycle of 12/12 or does it need to be veggin'? Thanks again, that fuckin fridge was a fair bit of work

You can start training the plant whenever you want. I like to take it in stages instead of drastically bending the plant, so that in about two days or so, the stem/branch is where I want it .

Attached three bulb splitters so now the cfls are a few inches lower... best that can be done

From experience I would definately recommend lst over topping, when I topped my last plant it got lanky once I started flowering. I lsted (low stress training) all the way thru. I hung chains to bend it over at almost a 45 degree angle, it produced much better results.

Thanks for the props on the build ya'll and heres a couple up to date pics. Day nine into 12/12 cycle, no show of sex yet and I really dont know what im doing with scrogin and lst so im just gonna tie down some fan leaves and try to work it one way then back n forth. Should be interesting to see how she goes!... ps. Didnt end up topping it and should I start trimming some of the leaves under the rack? Thanks..

I would just use your best judgement on trimming, personally I trim to improve airflow in tight nodes and such, but otherwise I let it be.

Sounds good... this bastard better not start to shit out seeds but if it is a lady, plenty of pics to come. Thanks again

If it was still vegging, I would bend that main stem sideways under the rack and let lots of branches grow through the screen. Idk what to do now...

Day 9 of 12/12 and she showed her first pube last night. Managed to bend the main stem over to a damn near 90º angle. More pics to come as she develops. all this feedback is appreciated! Ps. These pics are kinda discolored due to the lights.. obviously
