Can anyone vouch for the Maxibright 3k agro 600w CMH bulbs that use an E40 fitting and a standard reflector and magnetic ballast? Im so curious in em im halfway through my hps flowering but im about to drop 190 quid on 2 bulbs to make the plunge into the CMH world....they are very new bulbs and i cant find reviews anywhere online so if anyones used some please do tell me what theyre like. cheers.

Yeah theyre actually called Maxigrow, theyre based in uk. They just called their Horticultural products Maxibright.
Pardon my ignorance but what is a LFSW?

I have a Maxibright 315 cmh but havent tried the 600 watt since it cant be run on a proper low frequency ballast.
Still might be better than a 600 watt hps though.

Actually a magnetic ballast is inherently low frequency at 50 or 60 hertz. It's the square wave you are looking for I believe as that has the greater power factor and less "flicker".

Interesting. If they made a 1000 watt I'd try one in an old magnetic ballast I have but they only make a 600 watt.

i used to run Philips 400w CDM many years ago. same thing, needed to be run on a HPS mag ballast. they must mean they are the first with a 600w.

Its about the same price as a philips 315 bulb so might as well give it a try.
