First round of seeds was from amsterdammarijuanaseeds.com white widow. last batch is from ilgm.com but was also considering cropkingseeds.com but ilgm had better freebies at the time.

My original set up was ff ocean floor with ff tiger bloom grow big and big bloom following the plan on the card. This past grow I used the T5 light until it got a few nodes worth then switch to the LED.

I have the Deronweer Digital PH Meter bought from Amazon, no ppm meter yet or a light meter. The light is opticledgrowlights.com Optic 4 version 3000k & 5000k COBs

I guess if i had to sum up my thinking, a few decades ago I tried with bag seeds, thinking back I think I grew 2 nice ropes :-) but never any bud. FF 20 years and I find myself able to afford the "right" tool for the job so I wanted to get everything I thought I needed to be the most successful. Obviously, we are now very deep into the journey and just as excited to figure it out as I was the first sprout I saw a year ago. I didn't want to need something i didn't already have. I am starting to suspect the LED and maybe I need to go with a different lighting technology.

your quest to learn and enthusiasm will be rewarded.............be patient, this isn't rocket science.
thank you thank you gold01ca you would not believe how encouraging it is to hear that. Even at the local hydro store sharing the experience, getting help, hearing them applaud the enthusiasm makes you leave with a pep in your step (only to be crushed later) but pep always returns :-)

btw, how the heck do you like comments? i don't have that option. I plan to be here a while so I would like to be able to return the appreciation.

You have to make 25 posts I think, not sure, but it's something like that.

Much apreesh beachwealker, apologies for lack of grammar what so ever (too much of a texting mentality). I will take another look at the sites you mentioned. a youtube channel I am trying to follow is NVclosetmedgrower he seems to make to look pretty easy and straight forward. I may try and get the setup out of the basement, move it to a spare bedroom. Basement might be creating issues I just don't see. Temps or humidity. Something.

And yes I will stop being a lazy ass and start a journal, smacking my own hand lol. I did start one on the first grow but it went south so quick I said f it.

Is 2k big money to get a system going? My last seed order was $330, first one was $200. $1k for tent kit, $500 for the light. plus lots of other stuff, nutes, soil, T5 light for the babies, man that list adds up! I am just curious, are supply places taking advantage of the boom + newbs = BIG CASH. Rightfully so I guess, and I am willing to pay to play obviously.
To me $2k is bucket loads to be honest. When you're truely starting out try to use what you have around the house.

My first "tent" was a tote with 4 PVC pipes at 5 feet each, lights at 5k x 10 at 300watt each from the dollar store. Then went to the hardware store for the sockets ($3/each x 10 $30) and para cord from the dollar store and carabineers from there as well.

What did cost was the bail of promix, nutes, amendments (bone & blood meal, crab, kelp, alfela frass, worm castings, bat guano, etc.

Nutes that was an adventure to say the least. Fish emaltion, humic acid (old bog water really), medione 4-4-4 and 2-8-4.

That all ended up costing me approx $175+....

Had buckets as I also container garden in 5 gallon buckets.

This was for an indoor grow of auto blue dream. 5 pack $45+shipping.

I learned a lot from that grow.

Don't worry so much about having the best of the best out there is basically what I'm trying to say. I've had more successful grows in the start from dollar store stuff then spending the big bucks.

Oh yeah and ended up getting 5 mylar survivel tents from the dollar store as well.

another reason i flushed it was it had been so many weeks and the ff chart also has several flushes built into the schedule, as well as many videos, other forums, how too's, etc. while i am not giving any extra nutes, given that i also thought it was nit tox (and i was quite proud to see it here that i was possibly able to get one right) i figured a flush was in order given it says give less as a solution. i wish i had grown up in the 60's!:wall:
no you didnt get one right cuz that guy didnt get it right........................................

Obviously a newbie, but slowly gaining knowledge
it was a freebie autoflower i got with a seed buy
party cup 10/29
3 gal pot 11/3
5 gal pot 12/17
Optic LED Optic 4 COB LED Grow Light 415W (UV/IR) at about 18" away
68-72 degrees 48-52 rh

Had some issues early, as usual, but she came out of it pretty good, I'm sure it's way behind schedule being an auto but gonna ride it out, see what we get. I have not been giving it any added nutes, just letting the soil feed it with proper pH water every few days as the dry soil dictates. I am on 12/12 light.

So, based on the pic i got the the hooks on the new growth, and this morning on older growth along with dead/dying spots, tips. etc. and from all the reading it would elude to nitrogen toxicity. But as any other newbie will concur, you end up just reading yourself into circles not really know what to do! :-)
So this AM, obviously has gotten worse so I just flushed with 15 gal of pH water at about 5.8-6.0.

Would any pro care to take a look at the pic and tell me what they see as issues and give me some pointers. Remember I am on a journey here, learning, taking it all in, as I always say, you learn what to do just like you learn what not to do, always learning. This grow process is not easy, but what "it" is, is a mystery. I feel like I'm chasing a ghost. Thank you for any help I really appreciate it.
The first pic the plant looked fine then you flushed it so I guess that messed it up plus you raised light away a the same time. So if thats all you did then that is what the problem is.

No you dont want to transplant an auto like that you go from solo cup to final pot thats it. Water in at 6.5. Feed water water feed, at about 500-550 ppms add a pinch of microbes add a little humic acid to the feed. lower light back down to 20 inches or where you had it. leave light on 18/6.

I would go up from the soil and follow each branch and pick off the lowest leaf set from each branch to clean it up. And then leave it alone.

I can’t really help too much, though you might want to give some further details on the ingredients of your medium.

Also, your leaves are pointing upwards which often means it’s getting too much light!

Your plant is really dark green, which would also suggest excess N, along with the hooking leaves.
We talked about it and you have been banned from giving advice for one year. Oh I forgot the exclamation point!!!!!!!!!!!! One year! Banned!!!

ok cool. i am going to let it settle until tomorrow morning after lights on, see if it comes back from the flush, already changed back to 18/6, will move the lite down where it was, will start shooting for 6.5 pH, i have microbes but no humic will need to run to hydro store i guess. how much is "a little" per gallon? Thanks.

A pinch of microbes up to 1/16 teaspoon and 1/16-1/18tsp of humic per gallon. You want to know you have microbes in there working for you so very little all the time. Microbes feed the plant and balance the ph and the humic will make sue you dont get any micro-nutrient deficiencies. stop a couple weeks before chop as you wont need to do this anymore.

I use raw brand humic, its a dry product so no water weight added to the cost.

I use raw brand microbes and if you go that route get the bloom microbes and use that in your veg also as there is very little difference between veg and bloom microbes from that brand.

Just ordered bloom and humic, another $38.00 tuition fee :-) should be here by Friday according to the amazon. having just flushed it is very wet soil now (elevated cloth pot for runoff, 5 gal pot, fan oscillating, small heater to maintain 68-72 degrees, 50% rh) should i let it go until Friday before watering again? and if she makes it thru to Friday, then introduce the bloom and humic per your measurements? Thanks.

You should stop watering by schedule and learn to Water by how heavy it is

Fill a 5-gallon pot with your medium, set it aside.

When your plants feel the same weight as the 5-gallon pot you have set aside that's when you water again

If you do this even a handful of times you will get the feel of it quickly

Also I recommend you do everything Bernie says. Where you lost all but 3 out of 19 seeds you started, something's going wrong in the seedling stage because ilgm and AMS are the same company and they send good seeds, albeit pricey.

A common beginners era re: seedlings is over watering and damping off, if you have any pictures or even a description of how your seedlings died it would probably help

What microbe porduct do you have on hand? I would use that now. Heres what I would do take the microbe product you have lets assume great white. take 1/8-1/4 tsp to about two cups mix well so its all suspend in the water and add that to the soil evenly. only if you actually need to water the plant would you water it from the size of plant compared to the pot size you might not need to water till next week.but you want those microbes in there right away.

here is the last 3 i got to sprout, 1 day after going from rooter to cup, like maybe when the tap root touched ffof soil, hot soil? pic named 3 is the one that made it to today despite me. the next problem I had with #3 was i then nute burned the crap out of it even at 1/4 nutes ff big bloom grow big and tiger bloom. i now know to layoff nutes for the babies. once i started with just water #3 came out of it and was doing great imo not really knowing what i was seeing other than green with minor tip issues.

Not the same mycorrhizae is a fungus you can add that stuff now and wont hurt at all and you should use it for the first few weeks and then it will grow with the plant if it gets going but it takes awhile to grow. Microbes will get to work right away.

here is after major nute screw up but even at 1/4 i was shocked it hurt it so bad. after a trip to the hydro store for some advice, i just went with proper pH water and i assume the nutes in the soil, she came out of it to the nicer pic that was 11/12

then it seemed things were going well growth was obvious, then i noticed the horns a few days ago 12/14 and then the turmoil ensued. i let it ride a few more days seemed to get worse and things were starting to brown and some spots were starting. nit tox was on the mind then the 3 to 5 gal transplant then the flush and here we are :-)
