I have a p150 and it's okay but not great. The coverage area is very small and it doesn't spread well. Also bleached my tops very easily if not far enough away. Actually I have two and I'm using them with my 200 watt 3500k vero 29 build in the middle. Was hoping the p150's could put out some blue light for veg and then red for flower (veg/bloom switches) but really even with two I can't cover both of my plants. I have them angled inward on each side of the cob build. The tent is 32" and really it doesn't cover more than the 18" length that the light is.

Eventually I'm either going to go with a bigger tent and add another cob build with mixed color temps (possibly add some 2700k and 5000k and have a switch to run one or the other in veg/flower) OR I will just go with mh/hps. I know everyone talks about efficiency but mh/hps just seem to put out results. The nice thing with mh/hps is that you can just switch bulbs between veg and flower.

My 3500k seems to have done alright but I want to complete an mh/hps grow in the same tent after this one before buying more cobs as a comparison.

So for my veg tent I run a mars 300 and it has a bigger coverage (although not that much, it just diffuses light a bit more) than the p150 if that's important to you and it keeps the plants short with its blurple light, although that's not to say the p150 doesn't too (but it's also cheaper than a p150). Not sure how a 5000k cob light setup would do but it would probably do better than a p150 or mars 300. If you can find a cheap driver/heatsink you can even just run one cob at 100 watts or two of them for more spread and it would probably work great.

Just wanted to share my experiences here...
