Hello fellow growers I’m going to try Switching over to hydroponics I currently use advanced nutrients connoisseur As my base in my soil grows my question is Will I be able to use my advanced nutrients for growing hydroponic as well or should I look into buying a more hydroponic-based nutrition

Currently what I use:

Connoisseur a+b
Big bud
Bud ignittor
B 52
Voodoo juice
Bud candy
Overdrive
Bud factor x
Rhino skin
Will all these nutrients be OK for hydroplonic when I make the switch over I’m really hoping so .By the way this is my flowering nutrient schedule only not veg

That is a lot money represented on that list. General Hydroponics Maxigro and/or Maxibloom would pretty much replace all of them in one product. And would save you a bunch of money. Mega Crop works well also as BigHornBud mentioned. Just do not leave the MC open on a humid day. It will turn to goo in no time.

All nutes are formulated using hydroponics. You're good. pH is very important here.

Or you could just use megacrop
AN is well marketed over priced water

I’ve used it, with good results
I’ve used remo with the same results
Now getting the same results with Mega
And saving lots of $$$
yes I totally under stand it’s for sure expensive..I’ve been using it for the last few years and don’t have much experience using other nutrients so I’ve stuck to the method. I will for sure be looking in to this product your mentioning because being I will be spending money on a hydro system it would be nice to save in that area..

never personally used Advanced but the conversations I had with them they were steering towards Sensi line for hydro over Connoisseur. i would assume it runs a bit cleaner in a water system or some reason they wouldn't recommend their most expensive base when I was asking as an experienced grower looking for top quality finished product.
I just don't see how this line can be used at any level, might as well just buy some finished flower as it would be cheaper than your power and nutrient bill's :peace:

I'm using a variety of AN products at a garden (outdoor) I work at.... I don't fucking get it... I have to do ten times the labor to feed compared to my personal garden, and it's easily ten times the cost.
Just this week the boss switched from sensi grow to connoisseur grow, but doesn't want to buy the bloom since we're overstocked on sensi bloom...

Good money after bad.

That said, sensi grow is pretty garbage if you didn't combine it with the B 52, and I'll probably find the same true of connoisseur... A whole nute line that sort of works, and only truly functions if you buy the full line. Bullshit.

You can definitely save a bunch of money by switching to a more economical nutrient. There are many that will perform just as well as all that fancy AN stuff for a fraction of the price. Another way to save money is to build your own hydro system instead of buying one of those insanely overpriced off the shelf solutions. There are many DIY articles and threads on putting together your own hydro setup.

This lot is never needed by a plant as it only needs 16 basic nutrient elements and this is found in any good base A + B solutions, here is a breakdown of what you have, bearing in mind AN is a complete shill company selling Kushie Kush snakeoil for Kush strains only bullshit aimed at the gullible noob grower.

Connoisseur a+b: Extortionate garbage, one of the most respected growers here called Homebrewer done a side by side test and a cheap brand beat it hands down.

Big bud: Amino Acids that a healthy plant produces on their own in abundance.

Bud ignitor: an extremely weak but insanely expensive Prosperous additive that a plant neither needs nor wants in week 1 of flower if given a proper balanced diet.

B 52: B vitamins which there is no real evidence it does any good and is based on obscure 1930's tests and shills jumped on the wagon and the snakeoil flows more than ever today.

Voodoo juice: bacteria that is expensive and unnecessary.

Bud candy: plants cant uptake molasses because this is all that is in BC but 800% more expensively priced, it's for feeding bacteria only.

Overdrive: vitamins, and again unnecessary additive, plants have all they need themselves.
Rhino skin: Silica, ditch it and get pH neutral silica.

Thanks I was also thinking of that just wasn’t sure if I was ready to take on that project

Regarding b 52, it's like 3-1-4 and some Humic acid, even if they do sell it on it's b vitamin content. It's by far their best standalone nute. Not that that says much, I'd still never pay their asking price. I can get humics cheaper all day long.

If I’m to use general hydroplonics wich now that I think of it I did use that line in a grow or two I actually have a bottle of the flora micro still sitting around so that would save a little there.. the flora series is a 3 part right? And what do you prefer the maxi base solution or the flora series’s and also other if there additives would be needed or would it be best to purchase the whole line?

It's really not that hard of a project. If you're doing flood and drain all you need is a large plastic tote for the reservoir, a pump, some tubing, a timer, and whatever grow medium you'll be using, rockwool, hydroton, etc... and then something to use as a flood table. For DWC all you need is buckets, net pot inserts, an air pump and stones.

I built a couple of these years ago when I was doing hydro. Worked great and only cost about $50 or less for an eight site setup.
