Well it's been awhile since I've used Technaflora, but they haven't really made any improvements since the last time I did so I can answer the question.

I haven't actually compared them directly with the pH Perfect line since it's like the third or fourth improvement Advanced Nutrients has made to their nutrient line since I last tried Technaflora (which should tell you something about how important progress is to AN).

Regardless you're talking about comparing apples and oranges. Advanced Nutrients tests their nutes on the plants we're growing. They have a research lab in Bulgaria where they're licensed to. And the Hobbyist bundle you're talking about (the pH Perfect line) is so far ahead of anything anyone else makes it's hardly fair to call the other stuff "modern". If your water is remotely normal you don't have to check your pH with it. The nutrients balance it all out and keep it there. Officially they say they can only guarantee it with RO water, but in my experience it works with most any water you're likely to have. YMMV so don't yell at me if your water is really hard or something.

My advice would be to give it a shot. You learn something either way.

I'm not even sure where my pH meter is anymore. I'd have to find it before I could try any other nutes.
