In a coco based media your going to want around 5% Ca and 2% Mg during veg.

Then during flower just watch out for def symptoms.

I've found mixing a deficiency strength mix of Ca and Mg to be beneficial once a week during flowering in coco based mediums.

Can't help on the advanced nutrients side of things.

Thanks jondamon, yeah ive been running organics with supersoil, compost teas and such so usally i amend my soil for my Ca and Mg so thats new to me. Maybe if i do like a 50/50 ö of the Sunshine mix #4 and good organic soil amended with castings, humus an such.

I run advanced nutes but i don't like it anymore. im switching after this grow. Haven't made a solid decision on what i'm changing to. But advanced nutes causes me a lot of stress. nothing but a headache at this point, and expensive. go another way. if you do want to experience with AN the only part of there line i appreciate is the 0-39-25 Bud Blood (P-K Booster) it works wonders. I run the sensi grow + Sensi bloom line of the nutrients and i'm just waiting to run out so i can buy something new. I've had a lot of issues more than likely my fault not the nutes but still isn't going to change my mind.

My advice when it comes to Advanced, is to run their bases at 1/4-1/2 strength, even my heavy eaters never need the full dose. You do need to run a camg product along with the pro line. I would skip out on Bud Candy,Piranha, and Tarantula. There are better products on the market in those areas(Sugaree,Great White, Photosynthesis Plus) that are more cost effective. I would also replace Big Bud with Kushie Kush, basically the same compounds just more concentrated. I can run 1/4-1/2 strength Kushie Kush and get the same results as when I was using full dose Big Bud. Overdrive works great, as does VooDoo Juice and Sensizym IMO. Biocozyme from Grow More is also a nice alternative to sensizym if you want to save a lot of money.

Here's what I use on a 4 plant grow in coco.

Canna coco A/B 1L (£15)
Canna mono Ca 1L (£9 lasts 6 grows)
Canna mono Mg 1L (£9 lasts 6 grows)
A little Si (£1 per grow)
A little PK1314 (£2 per grow)
Previously have also used CANNAZYM and Rhizotonic. (£43 for 2x1L)

This grow I'm trying without the ZYM and rhizo to lower my costs further.

It should cost me a little over £20 for nutes with a 400g harvest using a 400w hps.

That's about $30.

How much would the AN lineup cost you?

I'm not saying AN don't work but their price tag is far outside of reasonable to make it worthwhile to me to even try them.

I here ya totaly Jondamon, i realize the A.N price tag is way out of most peoples range when it comes to nutes, I used to be one!, shit', still am really. I was able to pick up the entire pro line up, including base nutes for just under 270$ U.S. Now the key to this deal is you get the smaller 250ml bottles.wich is fine with me.I figured up i can do a considerable amount of 8 week flower cycles with the smaller amount i got considering my small line-up rite now

Some of Advanced Nutrients stuff works great and is most certainly worth the price, and some of their other products are in fact overpriced and don't meet claims. To say every product is garbage or a rip off is so off base.

Man that's about £180. Whoa!

I hope you can get a few grows out of that.

I'm a firm believer in using whatever works for you.

Do AN work, of course they do otherwise so many growers wouldn't use them.

Its all about learning your nute regime and seeing if you can tweak it a little.

Any nutes can work in the right hands.

You're paying for marketing:wall:
These guys are 7 feet tall and all i've used it an all-purpose 16-16-16. Seriously, save your money. Weed it nothing special, and you don't need rocket fuel to make it grow. The only thing a 6-bottle program from AN (or any company, for that matter) will do is confuse you and make things more complicated than they need to be.

If you want to spend the money on an elaborate feeding schedule, more power to you. It helps the economy and generates tax dollars. But ya realllllyyyyy don't need it.

If you buy AN you are supporting a child rapist and gangster. Fuck AN, they are everything that is wrong with the Cannabis industry. IF you care at all about the people behind the things you buy then look into if not buy their shit and throw your money away.

My advice is return that shit. For synthetics go buy a tub of 20-20-20 from Home Depot or a store like it. There's no reason to use anything else. Salts are salts are salts are salts. You're paying 270$ for mostly water with that AN shit, I'll never us a liquid fert again other then Cal/mag or Silica (Only because that's how they come). Waste of money to pay for water, I have water.

But I'd rather you fix your organic issues :), what soil mix are you using subs? It's been known to be SUPER hot and way expensive. If you use 3 cups of balanced amendments per cubic foot of soil, pretty sure that's like 7.5 litres if memory serves look into that, you will have a much lighter mix then subs. The key is balancing out your amendments, all I use is Blood-Bone-Kelp-Alfalfa-Volcanic Rock dust and a tonne of EWC (Not literally but it's about 30-50% of my mix) You don't need to source a tonne of rare minerals from all over the place. Also look into microbe teas they are super easy and can fix some issues pretty quickly.

Pictures of the N.Tox would help :)

Ive Been using Subs mix for awhile now with ACTT Teas and RO water only and had ok results.I have been having the Nirtrogen tox. For the past few grows now and is punishing my yields, after tuning down the blood and EWC I still was having problems with the tox.
