You will want Overdrive for the last couple weeks of flowerng instead of Big Bud. This might be useful Advanced Nutrients - Nutrient Calculator
Really? Can hammerhead be used in place of overdrive since it can be used from beggining of flowering straight to the end? I have heard so many good things about bigbud would hate not to use it...but if the best combo for flowering is the overdrive with the hammerhead then I might have to leave out the bigbud.....:?

Very interesting. Most of my grows have been done outside so all my additives were 100 organic....peat moss, bone meal, compost, manure etc
Those were for the ones that I planted in the ground.

I haven't done a lot of experimenting with any nutrients except for DNF (dutch nutrient formula). I got really good results with it last season.

I haven't tried advanced nutrient formula but it sounds interesting.:peace:
Advanced all the way!... I've seen what they do....never have I ever seen such huge colas. I just bought almost their full line for this, my first hydro grow. I bought so much shit that I got an Advanced Nutes T-shirt (the coolest thing in the package!) plus a bunch of other freebies like piranna, tarantula, big bud, bud blood, carbo load, a beaker, and I forget what else. As far as the expense goes, the place I get it from has let me in on some insider info about what I can skimp on...what I can't....and what can take the place of other things. First is that Advanced's sensizyme is shit until they fix it(something about bad batches for a while now) instead I got hydrozyme, which is suposed to have way way more enzymes than advanced has on a good day. Second I got Nirvana which alows me to cut back b-52 by 50% and with it I don't need any humic acid. I don't really like the online nutrient calculator though so the guy made me a custom list(very cool). There is more I could say but my fingers hurt

Yeah just so many quality things to use.....I also see some of there nutes are only used for like a week or two and thats good and all but for someone who is on a budget it wont be the most cost efficiant way to grow.......

I plant in miracle grow soil but I live in the country so use well water. It seems to make a big difference in the pH balance for some reason.
Since I grow my plants for a long time, each time I transplant I add more neutral potting mixture(no added nutes) so when the plant gets older and starts to flower I then start adding the DNF nutrients every second watering. I will usually use less than the intructions say so that I don't over fertilize.

I've had good success so far but now I am doing indoor grows so i might change some things. I'm not sure yet.

Wow Miracle grow......I guess if u take the proper care u can grow in any medium and get great results.....My water consists of plain ole tap....I bought a bottle of chlorine free and ph up and down to balnece out....I started using distelled water but it was becoming expensive and the ph levels were really low when I used it...so switch to tap and made it a lot better.....

My tap is at 120ppm, but I bought a carbon filter that you can hook up to your faucet...and an adapter to make it fit on a garden hose. That takes it down to 40 ppm, plus it takes out the chlorine so I don't have to let my water sit for a day.

Analogies make horrible arguments, but (and everything after it is bull shit) reading through this thread I was reminded of the diet and fitness industries -

The 2 plus program means 2+ pounds. And it is the sensi-pro box. Its a box full of premeasured quantities...you just dump in a pouch when it says to. It is real expensive though

Actually the 2 plus program means that it's an organic 2 part system, Iguana Juice grow and bloom. It has fish oil in it and is pretty stinky but that's a small price to pay for good nutes. I'm using a tad on my blueberry. I also added about a gram of Big Bud and a gram of Carboload powders to the 3 liters of water this morning. Hopefully that will increase the bud size.

The Nutrient Challenge video is what sold me; I got all hyped up on it, wanting the biggest juciest nugs I could get. Maybe I'll get them, maybe not. I don't like having so many different products tho; it just seems like it's overkill.

I use 3 bottle of Fox Farm nutes.Grow Big,Tiger Bloom, and Big Bloom.I then add sweet and humboldt county gravity at the end for really high resin counts and rock hard buds..So lets see the 3 fox farm bottles are arounf $38 the gravity is $20 and the sweet is $20 soo $78 for at least 2 full grows and then I have to renew the fox farm bottles and the sweet the gravity will last a dozen grows or so.
