Adjusting ppm help.

Ok so i get the that ppm is the measurement of how much nutrients are in the water. But when it comes to adjusting ppm i am under the understanding that adding more nutes would raise ppm and adding less of course keeping ppm low. What if i am using nutes and mg/cal booster and additives. How do i know which one to add more of and which one not too?? i mean wouldnt they all bring the ppm up?? Also if it makes any difference i am a soil grower.

when i mix my feeding with the additives and have to feed my plants certain ppm's i just add fresh phd water to dilute the feeding per plant as i was growing 3 strains but 1 hermied but the reason i feed each their own ppm is i do a run off of the plants cause i soil grow also and read the ppm coming out of the run off and then subtract the ppm i got from the run off from what ever the feeding ppm is hence diluting the full strength feeding you applying

well there are many way to do it but my way isnt 100 percent but it has worked with great results for me but i also read my plants well and recognize the diff stages she goes through during flowering and can usually tell when they can take a full feeding

plus the ppm of the soil runn off like i said will not be 100 percent accurate but the method does work but also its different for diff strains also you need to know the ppm of your run off water before you water the plant for the run off cause if its high then you may need to use hard water methods im lucky my tap water constantly comes at 7.0 and 55 ppm

i just tested my tap water now and i got 0 ppm and 7.3 ph. when i put in my nutes and additives my ppm is around 900-1000 and my ph is about 6.5. Works out kinda nice. But i was just planning on watering tomorrow. I'm still trying to figure out a good feeding schedule. Right now i'm just watering whenever they feel dry and feeding once a week

yup once a week is just fine aslong as they got drainage how far into flower are you im into the 5 th week and i feed min anywheres from 1250 ppm to 1450 ppm

Today is week 2. they got drainage but sometimes i dont get drainage from the bottom. i was thinking about next time giving em a good water just to get the built up salts out of there and also i could then test my soil at the same time

Exactly what i do and i have seen no problems doing it

add whatever nutes your plant currently needs to raise ppm, add water to lower ppm. Anything you add adds ppm...

But to the guy who said they tested their tap water and it came up 0 ppm, I call bullshit. All tap water has at least some additives, it can be anywhere from 25 ppm to 300 ppm out of the tap depending on how clean your city's water is. What are you using to test, some sort of test strip?

maybe its not zero, but its not enough to even get a reading on my meter. I just got one of those trucheon things. Yous stick it in the water and the llights flash at the number that the ppms are or ec. whatever unit u use.
