Adjust-a-wing reflectors or Megalux (deepshiners)

Hi.. i am currently running with 600w hps bulbs in my Adjust-a-Wing reflectors in a SJ240 tent. (2.4m x 1.2m)
I am having some warmth issues on all the plants close to the tent's walls. Somebody told me that i should replace them for "deep shiners" such a the Megalux (see pic) and this way warmth wont get led to the sides of the tent.

Pic adjust-a-wing:

Pic deepshine reflector:

at this moment i am running a fan that blows underneath the adjust a wings.. but it only removes heat from the center of the tent, sides are showing heatstress issues..

Does anybody know more about this?

What size adjust a wings are you using?

I use a medium with 400w.

Never had any heat issues with mine and mine sits around 8" from my canopy.

How far away are yours from the tops?

Could be worthwhile looking at a heat shield for your adjust a wings and that way it's less capital to replace your reflectors.

I dont think you understood my issue. So i used MS-Paint over the adjust-a-wing picture to show how heat is transfered.
You can see that the plants directly under the bulb (center of the tent) have a normal acceptable temperature. But because of the curves in the reflector most of the heat is beeing led to the sides, red represents heat and heat-zones and blue normal. I am not using the lightspreader, if i do the heat on the sides gets even worse.
the reflectors hang about 60cm (23"?) from the canopy. If i place them any lower leaves actually might start to burn and dry out.

Do you know which size you are using?

With the medium and a 400w I haven't noticed any difference to be honest.

Have you got the wing open on its largest setting?

I understand what you mean. You're getting higher temp readings at the extremities of the wings.

600-1000 lamps should be using the largest adjust a wing reflector.

Also have you got your lamp mogul at its lowest point giving the greatest distance between lamp and reflector?

its in the middle +-

And which size of the adjust a wing enforcers are you using?

Try opening your wings to full extension and lowering your mogul to the furthest distance away from the reflector and then retest temps.

i have 3 adjust-a-wings medium size. they hang in a row one behind the other horizontally (creating a long half-pipe if you will :P ) on the widest setting.

This could be your issue.

The fact that each one is heating the other.

Also medium enforcers are geberally for up to 400w lamps.

The large enforcers are for 600-1000w.

Do you have any space between your half pipe of reflectors?

i am not sure.. it might be the issue indeed.
i will try pulling the bulbs to the lowest setting of the mogul now, hopefully it will give some relief to the plants.
Yes there is some space between them but not much, about 8 inch.
