Adds Anyone?

Hi all
I have just recently been really getting my base nute solution really dialed in and am seeing great results. I am currently using GH 3 part with just a few adds that make sense to me such as diamond nectar, silica, maxicrop, and superthrive. All of these are barely used in my 55 gal res due to my cautious nature.
To the point here I am curious as to what some of your guys's favorite adds are and why?

I did do some research on all of mine and I think that I am going to drop the superthrive in budding altogether because of the prolonging flowering thing. Unless someone can tell me otherwise....

Thank you all who helped me with my last question about nutrient addback, specially hellraiser!

You dont need them. Give me your money instead of the hydro store I will tell you that you will get sticky icky dank too. The only thing you need in hydro is Hydrozyme, nutes and possibly depending on water issues a Cal Mag supplement. I throw in a root accelerator but even then I am skeptical of the benefits. Save your money man.

I really like the Mother of all Bloom and Hammerhead PK boost combo that others
have recommended, really saw some heavy growth.

Dutch Master Zone is also a product I like as it makes keeping your res sterile very
easy, and it's not that expensive.

I like to supp with some flora nectar (the ingredients are cane sugar, malt extract, and molasses. Just a few reasons why:
1. I find that it takes the stress off of the plants when switching to 12/12 and taking clones (foliar feeding very very dilute)
2. It keeps my rez bacteria very healthy, thus allowing those roots to absorb more nutrients and to explode in growth (I have had roots up to 6.5 feet long, but again I use about half the dosage...I also wouldn't recommend this if you aren't growing in a sterile environment because a lot of people claim that gnats are attracted to the water...my rez is completely sealed off though as well as the room that it is in).
3. If you don't already have bacteria, you need some. Kangaroots from fox farm is excellent quality.

One bottle of flora nectar should last about a year.

Thanks for the replies guys! I have been hearing alot about Hydrozyme and I am really thinking about it. If anyone has any personnel experience with it please chime in.

For some reason I am now stuck with bold print....odd. Anyway my city water some out of the tap between 50-70 ppm and then loses about 20 ppm after it stands for a day. Does anyone think that I should use a little cal/mag as precaution in my soup??

On a completely unrealated note I notice lots of ppl on here constantly refer to their ppm with out saying what increment meter they have. Mine is a .7 Wouldnt that make a huge diffence if I was comparing reading to a .5 meter? I might be wrong though I usually am.
/rant?

Hygrozyme was one of the first products that was heavily pushed on to me by the hydro store as
one of those "I wouldn't grow without it" speeches. I used it for a few years along with the AN
line and had great successes in my grows. For the last year or so I've cut it out and things are going
just as well without it, and given the price I was paying for it I was certainly glad to be able to save
the coin.

The reason I had stopped using it at first was due to the fact I was getting rot on a few plants even
with the stuff after I had heard that it will help prevent it. After more reading and some schooling
on heisenbergs thread turns out that adding hygrozyme when you might already have a rot issue can
make things much worse.

If your water is that low I would go ahead and add some, the stuff is cheap and can really help out
when it's needed. You could always try without it and just keep a close eye on your plants and if you
do end up needing it, add it then.

Another thing you could try out would be silica, it helps to make the plants stronger and more resistant
to diseases. Usually pretty cheap and something that will help you all around.

Whatever scale you're using just make sure you're giving them appropriate amounts of nutrients, the
plants will tell you if you're feeding them too much or too little by your ppms. If your ppms are going
up then you're feeding them too much and they're drinking more water than they're eating nutes. If your
ppms go down, that's the opposite and means you need to up the dosage of nutes a bit more. You want
to try to find that sweet spot where things will stay pretty consistent day in day out, this gives me my
best growth :)
