adding vinegar to water

I took a PH reading and it came out 7, so should i start adding tap water with vinegar with a ph of 6.5 to my plant? and is red wine vinegar ok? or does it have to be the distilled one
 
Vinegar has acids that will harsh your plants... and the effects are short-lived. pH down is petshop cheap, or just use straight tap.
 
True, vinegar will harm your plant. Better buy some pH-Down from a petstore, it's usually used to lower pH in aquarium water, has organic acids and lasts a whole lot (80l). It's an investment worth making.
