Adding UVB spectrum to COBs - opinions on this setup?

My stance on the effect of uvb from the research I've done leads me to believe that there is a bigger placebo effect from placing a uvb bulb in your grow than actual chemical effects.

Not if you use the right bulb, there are many that don't do much. I had a friend that had a very nice UV meter and he tested a lot of bulbs, at the time there were only 2 of all he tested that worked, That Pure UV bulb will actually finish any plant in just a few hours
1st pic Kali Mist week 3 flower taken 6/4
2nd pic same plant taken on 6/7
3rd pic same plant after 10 hours under pure UVB bulb taken on 6/9

yeah i dont see how cooking them for 10 hr under intense uv is doing much for them.yes they will produce more resin to counteract the uv but in 10hrs theres only so much to expect.

i use uv too and i see how easily it burns leaves at too high or too long of a concentration

So why don't one of you led techies design a system and controller that truly mimics the sun in one of the top quality outdoor cannabis producing areas.
Say a ramped up start to the lights to mimic sunrise and maybe even a spectrum shift as sunset comes on. With appropriate amounts of uv being applied at the corresponding time of day.
That would be Bad Ass!

I thought one of the first things people learn on this site was to not judge Harvest Time by hair color...?

minimum 36 inches from canopy and 15 minute spurts in the middle 4 hours of flower

take it seriously !!!!!!! these bulbs are extreme !!!! Rig it so you can turn em off when in the garden ! I got blisters on my back from less than 30 seconds at 8 inches when I leaned in to look at a bud while they were on
I was going to rig a "normally on" switch from lowes to my door so when I open it the power is cut off to them. As you mention it is no joke.
