Adding Rooting Gel to seedlings?

I've just germinated my seeds using the paper towel method, but I'm thinking about slightly dipping the root into a rooting/cloneing hormone gel. Should I do it, and will this hurt or help my seedlings before placing it into the Rockwool starter plug?

I would not do that, they are cloning gels not rooting gels. There are plenty of products on the market you can add in tiny amounts that stimulate root growth. Most are rather expensive but can cut off several days of overall time getting your plant ready.
