Wats up guys, I just realized I made a pretty serious f*ck up with my grow. I've been watering with reverse osmosis water for 2 weeks now but I was unsure of the ph because I did not have a meter. Well, it came in the mail today and it said the ph of the water was 5.8!!!:wall: No wonder one of them was in bad shape and the leaves looked fried. How can I fix this problem? +rep for helpful responses

First of ... if you are running your girls in water ... you are right on the mark sir ..... 5.8 is where you want to be.
If you are running the show in soil ... you want to be at 6.5.

So what is it .... brother
also ... pictures would identify the issues with the plantz .... fried as in on top ... from the lamps .... or nut burned ..... perhaps nut lock .... please elaborate on the terms used in your description.

If you got your ph meter today .... did you calibrate it ..... with a solution ....
If your grow is a soil thing .... is the 5.8 ... a run off .... or water you put into ...soil ....

Picture tells a thousand words .... please allow us to help you better.

I'm growin in soil, roots organics. The leaves look a lil brown from ph lockout. I did calibrate the meter in a solution and the water itself is 5.8 ph. The run-off is 5.0 ph. heres sum pics. The camera doesn't really do it justice. The bottom leaves look a lot worse and the tips are brown and pointing downward. The new growth seems okay.

Brother your plants look healthy over all. Girls will be fine ....you want to bring up your ph to 6.5 .... slowly ... as not to shock the girls .... so give them a nice soak in 6.5 water ... let it sit over night and adjust ... in the morning with another watering. Test the run off .... and if its around 6.5+ - ..... leave them be.
You do not want to drown them ...
No worries about the bottom leaves .... the fall off anyways ...
Your girls are small .... the tops look nice and healthy. They will explode in 3 days.

And you will be smiling .... this I promise you.
Happy growing

Also ... keep an eye on this thread ... for a second opinion .... that is just common sense.

What they said. :)

I'll just add since it hasn't been mentioned and you asked how to fix it. If you didn't get any you need some PH up and PH down. Any hydro shop will have it. Also check you Ph after you add you nutes, they will usually make the water more acidic.

Good luck.
