Accused Pot Growers Charges With Child Abuse

Here is a warning for the parent-caregivers out there.... very sad. The culture wars go on, and now the gov't wants to pull your children into it.

DENVER (AP) — The Denver district attorney has charged a couple with child abuse for allegedly growing marijuana in the home they shared with three children.

The district attorney's office says Joseph Daniel Lightfoot and Amber Brooke Wildenstein, both 29, were charged Wednesday with one count each of child abuse. There were released on $50,000 bond each.

Colorado allows marijuana to be used for medical purposes, and authorities say the couple operate a licensed marijuana growing operation in their home. But children ages 7, 9 and 11 live there, and state law says a person who manufactures a controlled substance in the presence of a child or where a child is found or lives can face child abuse charges.

haven't heard of this happening in CA . . . . but you never know I guess. I don't think they can call it the same thing if the plants are grown outside though . . . .

Scary, they are finding so many ways to fuck with our rights and lives just because these people in power have no real clue about pot , just the propaganda they have heard since the 60's when they were kids.

yeah people forget that Cannabis is legal in certain states here in the U.S.A.; however, the Federal Government doesn't agree.. and they will still bust you if ever given the opportunity. I know, its fucked up... I agree. But, what else would you expect from the dickheads that run this country.

I do not support their "war" against our culture though. We're potheads! You know? We're not out (well, I personally am not a drug user/dealer) but we're not out there on the corner selling dope. Rather it be cocaine; crack cocaine; crack; methamfetamine (spell check please..)

But yeah again, I do support the war on getting those street drugs off the street.. but not against potheads. When was the last time you seen a pothead out standing on the corner begging people for money.. and just all fucked up? I've never heard of it nor seen it.. that kind of actions and attitude doesn't come from potheads (people who love smoking the buds). I mean I myself, I never have more than 3 plants per grow since I only grow for my own personal medicine and enjoyment. There's nothing more relaxing and enjoying.. than coming home after a hard ass day at work of manual labor.. sit down in the recliner and kick back and smoke a bowl/blunt/joint which ever you enjoy.. and just chill and let your entire "being" relax.. and clear your head.

Nothing better than that... Anyone else agree?

i could understand if they were pushing drugs onto the kids but for growing in your own home with a license thats shit
